Considering how badly 343 Industries fouled up The Master Chief Collection, I really believe they should do this. We already have Halo: Reach, Halo Wars, and for some reason Spartan Strike (even though there’s an Xbox One version) backwards-compatible on Xbox One… why not all of the Halo games on the Xbox 360?
This should include Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST Campaign Edition, and Halo 4.
Halo: CE Anniversary should also be made available via digital download. I also thing there should be a standalone edition of Halo 2: Anniversary with the Campaign graphics applied to original multiplayer, not like the offset H2:A multiplayer we got in the Master Chief Collection.

its because of the mcc that this will not happen
From a business standpoint this won’t happen, it’s more profitable to just push the MCC, and having all the games combined like that keeps playlist populations up.

Halo: MCC is dead.
We have the MCC, yes, but we also have the halo wars: definitive edition, and the original game was made backwards compatible. Microsoft made the first Gears of War backwards compatible too, even though they released the ultimate edition. It’s still unlikely, but it’s not crazy to think about them making those games backwards compatible

This.
It wouldnt realy cost them anything if they were to just offer the games BC as a download only. They spend a few moments to change up the script, if needed, and do what they have to do with Microsoft as far as negotiations if needed. It may cost money, but alot less than if they offered them on disc. Bundle it as a pack and offer to sell each one individually. Maybe even make a special armor or something to entice players that already bought the original game. It wouldnt been difficult at all. And judingthat there are still usually 400 - 800 players on at any given time that I at least play speaks about how popular Halo 4 still is. Sure, MCC andHalo 5 are their precious babies, but it could help to simply offer the games as DLC Only on the backwards compatability market.
You pay a membership, buy an expensive console…you should be able to play games that you like…huge cluster F***k with the x-1 not being backwards compatible. When they rolled it out…The designers pissed off a ton of people and continue to do so…h-5 with burn card system from Titan fall??? Now, titn2 has no burn cards??WTF???is Xbox pushing members to-- play station???I should be able to play all my games on x-1… . Note TO XBOX MANAGEMENT…the bad reviews from the m.c.c cluster f. Should hv been enough, when updates are bigger than the initial game download…you are -Yoink!- ur base OFFFFF!!! At minimum I should be playing halo-4 on my x-1 as a stand alone game…just as I see an increase of people playing Titan fall 1…because of dum/cheeze factor… of Titan fall 2. .I believe h4 would bring a lot of pissed off Spartans back!

I doubt they would make brand-new armor for an old game, but what they could do is release all the pre-order DLC armor for free; Deadeye, Locust, Scanner, and Strider, and all the armor skins.
The should make all the Halo 4 DLC free as well; God knows no one’s going to pay for it, but releasing all 4 map packs to everyone as part of a mandatory free update (like in Halo 5) would be a nice incentive to get everyone to play again. I already have all the DLC, and as with Halo: Reach, I just want to be able to play the maps I paid for. If that means giving it to everyone for free, then I’m 100% cool with that.
