I know what you’re gonna say; “why bother when you can play it Halo: MCC”? First of all, I prefer to play Halo 4 in the standalone version, with all the armor customization and such. Second, it allows you to play with everyone who’s still playing the standalone version of Halo 4 on the Xbox 360 even on Xbox One. Finally, it can’t be that hard to do- Microsoft owns the rights to the Halo franchise, so it can’t be that difficult to bring the standalone edition of Halo 4 to Xbox One through backwards compatibility.
So how about it?
Obviously the MCC version as you mentioned is already on XB1. But I don’t know that many people are really that concerned about going back to H4… it has largely left a bad taste in the mouth of a majority of the population. I say they make ODST backwards compatible first so we can do firefight!

That too, but I still want Halo 4. I wonder if they could do a “Campaign Edition” of Halo 4 like they did with ODST; just Campaign and Spartan Ops, all armor, emblems, and weapon skins unlocked (including DLC) plus some new customization options for Spartan Ops like custom skulls (like in Reach’s Firefight), and also Theater mode support. A gamer can only dream…
I read somewhere that they may just re-release it for xbone
I wouldn’t mind. I enjoyed H4 a lot.

I wouldn’t mind that too much, so long as it includes all the DLC content from the Game of the Year edition and it’s upscaled to 1080p and 60fps. Also, it would need some improvements, like skulls and Theater mode support for Spartan Ops, as well as the ability to use Champions DLC armor and weapon skins in Spartan Ops. If they couldn’t do it via a patch on Xbox 360, maybe they can do it with a port to Xbox One.
Agreed. The more back-compatible Halos the better.
Also playing with 360 players would be a lot of fun. Reach was great, even with the frame rate issues
I would play Halo 4 on Xbox One the MCC version just isn’t the same.
Halo 4 on Xbox one is not the same at ALL. Halo 4 on 360 was. Man I miss H4 btb

Sad, but true.
MCC H4 is nothing like 360 H4 when it comes to multiplayer. To plainly say it, it sucks. The only reason I see why they wouldn’t make it backwards compatible on XBOX One is that they are afraid the H5 players would switch to it. Because honestly H5 sucks. They stole burn card idea from Titanfall and messed it all up. You got all these cards and can only use them if you are kicking the crap out of the other team. Well if you are already winning, then you kind of don’t need them. Creates avalanche win/loss matches… Please make H4 backwards compatible!!!

A little late, man… it’s already been confirmed that Halo 4 (along with Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo CE Anniversary) are becoming backwards compatible later this year!
