As we have seen the new warzone firefight is timed with only 5 rounds. While the randomly selected objectives and difficulty is great, there are three things I and I think many others really want.
Never ending rounds: this will keep it fresh and challenging.
No timer. So we don’t feel rushed and can actually work as a team.
Offline/custom game compatibility. So we can play if we run out of Xbox live gold, want to play alone, or playing with a small party with ability to change difficulty.
Agreed. Want to reserve judgement until I see the finished product and have actually played it, but agree with all of these. Know we’ll never get the last one since 343 hasn’t budged on the idea of custom Warzone, but having an untimed/unlimited mode would be perfect for those of us who remember the original Warzone. Endure, anyone?
This is why I won’t play it, firefight is a survival mode and this iteration is anything but, I just wish they wouldn’t have included micro transactions in Halo because it’s turned everything into a big cash cow.
I personally don’t mind how they currently have it set up, at least on paper, we shall see once the beta goes live how it is. But i wouldn’t be opposed to a second version with no time limit that just goes on forever until your team loses, would start off fairly easy and gradually get harder and harder each wave until your team wipes.

Sorry i had to comment on this. This game is not a cash cow, you want a cash cow go play destiny or black ops 3. First off buying req backs is optional and there are a ton of people who reach 100% in reqs without spending a dime. The req system does have a cash option for the the more impatient players. Also all the dlc weve gotten is Free. Destiny charges a ton for everyone one of their expansions along with black ops 3. There are weapons you can only get with paid expansion in black ops. Halo 5 has not done any of that. Before you say “well it shouldve been in release.” Yea, maybe. but we are getting it back for free. Destiny shipped half a game with no story and charged you to complete the game. So next time you go to state something be sure to back it up with facts next time to make it a little harder for people like me to tear your biased opinion apart.
Maybe after they run the beta and release it for real they’ll increase the number of rounds and the duration of them. I don’t think an unlimited time would be a great idea. To many people would run around do absolutely nothing. I feel like for the rounds they should increase to 20-25.
One thing to consider as well with this is that it has matchmaking, not everyone can dedicate potentially an entire day to it so people would inevitably start leaving mid match and punishing them for it would be unrealistic. At least with a set time limit people know before hand just how much time they would need to set aside before going in.

I never said it was as bad as other games it is still a cash cow though, the req system is entirely designed to try milk money , yes you can earn everything but it takes ages and with so much being single use its very much aimed at people who want everything but don’t have the time to put a lot of hours in. I know the current status of gamin is down the drain and this is how everything is now but I am so sick of it.
Sure I might sound yappy but when you grew up on complete games it’s hard to get over it. It is very unlikely that warzone or the new firefight would exist without micro transactions, warzone didnt bother me but this now firefight does, it seems to defeat the purpose of the original completly and to me any way looks like a complete waste of time.
So sorry again for vocalising my opinion as it obviously upset you because you cater to the “ITS FREEEE33333!!!” Crowd but I have standards for what I expect from a game and studio and sadly what I once loved as a reliable series to buy into is has slipped into the dangerous region of Ubisoft level games.

All of these plus the customization options we had in Reach to tailor the game to our preference. Being able to choose what types of enemies we fight, which skulls we want on and so on.
Why would I want to spend a whole day with randoms I meant in matchmaking? That sounds terrible. I wish they hadn’t named it firefight, as that would have prevented these threads from popping up.

Good idea. Solo would allow players that can spend more time playing too play longer. In regards to mp with all the quitting and bad internet connections, it may turn into a 5 round survival game.
I would love to be able to play Forge, Custom games and Firefight when my internet is bad (which is most of the time these days). But it’s unfortunate that it’s probably never going to happen.
I agree completely. I love Warzone Firefight as it is right now, but it would be great to have a longer version. Unlimited that gets slightly harder as it goes would be nice, but even something with 10 rounds instead of 5 would be plenty.
