Recently they changed the system to if you quit/ lag out you get a loss. Now, I lag out very often in this game, and would not like to be penalized and take a loss when my team wins the game. The system is already in place in Halo: reach and I don’t see why it couldn’t be done in this game.

On my in game record, my losses have increased, even though it is not showing as a loss in my last 20 games feed, also the loss counter increased.
And for quitters, as I said you would not get a win/ loss if your team wins, but a loss if your team lost.

I agree… but Halo does seem to have a lot of connection issues. Some of my friends routinely get kicked out halfway through a game. They’re still on party chat, still connected to live, but just suddenly get dropped from Halo. Once my friend was driving me in a warthog, I saw it happen. It’s a real problem, and most other Xbox games don’t seem to have this issue.
I second VirtualMark, random kicks without an actual live disconnect is a, very annoying, thing…always seems to happen on a REALLY good game with some boost on the line and an expensive REQ you just selected as well, rather than some pain fest you would like to actually quit.
The issue with that is they can’t always tell if it’s a bad connection or if someone pulls the plug to leave. Other games have the same issues and give the same response, the system will just be exploited even more if we gave incentives for quitters to quit even more. I understand not everyone has great internet AND (meaning it’s not always you) that the games servers don’t always work to perfection. To me it’s a “just deal with it” situation. It sucks but I don’t think we need to change anything on quitters, laggers, ect ect

So what your saying is that a DNF should be considered as neutral. No win or loss. It will of course show up on your aggregated total as a loss. There’s really no easy solution on this problem. It’s so easy to skate around it like one person said, just unplug your console and say it was disconnect. One consolation that would at least be nice is… they know when their servers are screwing up and should at least give the players that were playing when that occurs the benefit of the doubt.
