I’m tired of dying behind walls, or losing a fight because my shots don’t register, enough is enough, why Are y’all showing no PROGRESS towards this. There hasn’t been ONE update to fix this man. I get significantly less Desync in halo 3 mcc!! Even when my games are 10-30 ping I get ridiculous Desync. I want to love this game but I just can’t. My skill doesn’t feel rewarded, while every other game I play does.
They already said they aren’t working on it because their entire dev team is trying to shove the co-op beta out the door.
343i and Halo Infinite is a text book example of biting off more than you can chew.
343 must be allergic to money and pride, it’s literally the only explanation for the reasons they’ve handled the game this way.
cont. I feel I should clarify on the pride concept. I mean taking pride in their work and being proud of creating a beautiful and worthwhile project. They have none of that. Now if we talk about taking pride in destroying the Halo fandom, they’re obviously in some sort of special revelry.
Pretty sure aside from easy, and quick fixes they aren’t going to touch anything that will take as much time and effort as desync until they get Coop and Forge out the door. Those are priorities 1 and 2. Getting the game feature-complete.
I’m down with Desync being #3. Other major features like a progression system, Firefight, and fixes like Theatre can come after server stability is up to snuff.
But fixing custom games, and getting Forge ready definitely need to happen side by side. If Forge ships and Customs still don’t work, having Forge isn’t going to mean anything.
No idea when they gonna fix it now, if moved people to co-op, then it’s gonna be forge which will most likely get a month or so delay, probably end of the year maybe if season 3 doesn’t bring in a whole new bunch of bugs.
It makes sense though to me to sort out co-op and forge 1st so it’s more complete, last thing we need is desync fixed and then co-op / forge cause more problems,
It is what it is for now, hiring the right people with the right contracts can help get Infinite on it’s feet…
Just have to say this is what happens when you staunchly stick to MS’s 18 month contract and let go of the very people who built your foundations. And with 343’s terrible reputation, they are struggling to find people to fill the gaps.
343 and MS has done this to themselves, and I can only look on and laugh as it all crumbles to the ground.
If Halo Infinite is too much of a bite, then maybe they need a bigger mouth. They haven’t delivered ANYTHING meaningful. Damn modders could work faster and harder than 343.
Imagine what would’ve happened if the game was adapted to Unreal Engine. They could’ve hired a lot of UE devs off the market. Now they are stuck with “here, learn our own inhouse yesteryear crap that nobody else uses”.
That U5 fan-demo of Halo Infinite looking 10x better than the actual product and running smoother really strikes home how unprepared 343 was in tackling the project.
They knew BLAM had issues, but they decided to build Slipspace ontop of BLAM anyway.
They had the audacity to assume people were gonna be okay with what little they offered and their UI system cannot handle additions.
They knew what players wanted regarding customization and progression but promptly ignored them.
They knew they were going for a live service game but let go of everyone who built their game.
This all stinks of mismanagement and complacence.
Their hiring process is weird. Like…i swear I remember hearing that they specifically hired people who hated halo, to work on halo at some point. More than likley not the entire team, but still…
Maybe I’m trippin though. Have you ever heard of something like that? I thought I seen it in a video on YT, where it talks about how halo began changing, why it did, the many hands it went through etc.
Yea its terrible. I came back after uninstalling the game withing maybe 2 months. I miss playing with my friends, and thats the only reason I enjoy it.
As far as power ranger spartans go…well…unpopular opinion, that’s the glory days of halo for me. The most fun ive ever had, the enjoyment of playingwith and against my friends, all the customs, the ranked grind, learning all the nuances and crazy stuff you could do in that game. I can go on and on about how much I loved that game, and it’s not because I came to halo late. I’m almost 40 lol. I loved it for being different, and for what it was. For what it’s worth, I totally full heartedly believe if that was a spin off multiplayer game that perhaps didn’t even have the word halo in it’s title…it would have became much more popupar as long as a standard more traditional halo multiplayer came out since it’s completely understandable people like both old and new.
For infinite…man I hop on for some ranked…1 playlist…where I put up with ridiculously high ping…unstable packet loss…my BR jamming again…grenades not registering to be thrown when I’m slamming the dang left trigger…being shot behind walls as well as me obliterating someone clearly behind a wall, blank melees left and right at the worst moments in the game, and the list goes on.
In matches where the game feels decent though…well…its a nice experience. Traditional halo, with a little extra sauce on it, just enough to make it, it’s own halo. It just needs more on it’s menu…more meat and potatoes. We’re starving over here.
- it needs to have the issues ironed out first of course!
I don’t think they can solve the Desync issue right now, and that’s why they have moved on to something else that they might actually be able to complete in a timely manner. It seems like Halo Infinite needs a complete remastering already. The engine needs to be reworked, the game needs to be taken apart and cleaned, adjusted and then reassembled again.
343 is not new to failure, they fail and have to play catch-up all the time, so I guess its part of their regular routine. I mean this is just what Microsoft produces, lousy developers that don’t have any creativity, passion or drive, they just want money and the only “innovation” they strive for is to try and create more ways to dissect video games even further and make more money from them.
PlayStation 5 on the other hand… I have been enjoying that console far more than my Xbox Series X. And now with PlayStation having their own version of Game Pass that is cheaper and more robust then Xbox’s Game Pass, I think I’m jumping off this dying green hype train ASAP and going back to my blue roots which were PlayStation 1 and 2. I wasted too much time here on Xbox, I could have been having all the same fun over at PlayStation plus have some extra exclusive games. The only thing Xbox has to offer now is Bethesda exclusives, and those only come out like once every 8 to 10 years or more.
Tbh they should of just used U5 engine rather than build new one, would of been good
Such ridiculousness. The fact they don’t try hiring a network guy or two to work on this problem is bull crap! This game be so fun if my shots registered.
100% if they used unreal engine 4 or 5, they’ve have no problems dishing out content.
Summary
Tbh a new halo on unreal would be the best solution at this point. But I’m tired of 343 being in charge of halo, give this game to a new studio. Like certain affinity make halo for now on, or he’ll give this game to respawn; they’d do a better job you can count on it.
I was in the top 500 in wins for modern warfare until halo came out. Modern warfare is was an awesome game. If one doesn’t have the best load out they are toast. Halos weapons start everyone equally. When the desync gets fixed and teams start to balance out, I see this game being more fun for me than modern warfare and that is a bold statement.
They could focus on lag now, but this would mean all content they would be releasing would have to be side lined for at least a year or more.
Could you do without any new content for the game, for that long?
You keep posting this rebuttal as if anyone is going to agree that desync, or whatever it is, isn’t the most important issue.
Regardless, they shouldn’t be dealing with an “either or” situation. They have millions of dollars at their disposal and shouldn’t have to choose
Absolutely. I like the medals I think they are fun. I love the subtle nuances of the same yet differences between the games. Just me though, I’ve always walked against the grain…if I play any game this much they all feel the same after a bit in my humble opinion. Not a bad thing to me,
