I think a nice update would be having the equipment that’s carried by the player visible, attached to the thigh or lower back. What do you guys think?
It’s not really designed for it, majority of it is the same size as the player character’s torsos.
It’d be neat but pointless as well.
As cool as it would be, I’d like them to focus more on the other games a bit more mainly H2A/H2C and Reach before they start doing more Halo 3 stuff, other than if they port more of the eldewrito maps.
H2A really needs more remade maps and I’d even be satisfied if they’d just port some of the armour from the other games into it. It wouldn’t technically be “new” content, but it would be new to H2A and it saves 343 time trying to think of new designs of armour to make for it.
Yeah I really want them to remake Midhsip, Turf, Waterworks, Terminal and basically all those other maps that were left out for whatever reason.
No, it’d allow players to spot what the enemy has and rest accordingly. Infinite does this, you know what players are packing a overshield or active camo in their back pocket.
You know not to challenge a dude trying to bait you near a ledge if they have a repulsor, etc.
It shouldn’t be implemented because itd change h3, there must be a reason why bungie didn’t do this, we are able to see weapons on characters after all but not equipment.
Reach and 4 sort of did it with armor abilities but you really wouldnt be able to notice in most cases.
Interestingly you can only see one weapon on your body at a time even if there are 2 when carrying a turret, but like I said the objects themselves weren’t designed for it as well, being a third the size of a player character.
Even if Bungie had the ability and idea at one point to do so it’d result in ridiculous visual clutter, especially the ones that are just spheres.
About the actual change to gameplay it’d bring about, I don’t think anybody has the time to use tiny visual indications in certain spots to tell what’s about to happen in combat, the only really evident ones in those games are the Jetpacks and Repulsor; that said, the visual clutter of H3 equips I was talking about would likely be much more exaggerated.
They didnt have to make it a feature, they couldve kept it like CE, but it is important knowledge, I know to be swift or to stay away if I see a grav ham on their back.
Fun fact that was actually going to be a feature in ce bt was cut out
Oh I know that with weapons it makes sense, but abilities are a much less core aspect of the not-dying game in that regard.
Not true, if youre good and have a marksman weapon you can wipe an entire team using the EMP equipment.
this 100%
the majority of the new content that was added was for Halo 3, all the other games really need some love
I guess… but that’s a pretty specific scenario.
Still, I’m not arguing that it should be a feature In Halo 3 since the abilities weren’t designed for it, just saying in the games that it is a feature it is rarely important or used.
They’ve clearly tried again with infinite seeing the contrails they leave behind and stuff, but Repulsor is the only one you can see and identify in the heat of the moment.
I always see the overshields and Active Camos
Huh, I can’t say I do, but it’s make sense to have those ones be more visible as they were always separate from other abilities.
Would be interesting but would look weird carrying Equipment like Power Drain & the Trip Mine
