Assassinations currently aren’t in infinite because the person using them is at a extreme disadvantage, my idea to fix this is to make it equipment, The reason this helps is it’s a lot easier to buff it without giving everyone a crazy ability 24/7, For example it could give you more melee lunge, be faster or maybe even give some overshield, Maybe make it revolve around getting ninjas on people, there’s a lot you can do with assassinations because of the risk reward of it.
Assassinations were never supposed to give you an advantage. They were basically a “murder T-bag” to ruthlessly humiliate and kill them at the same time. I don’t know what you mean by “crazy ability 24/7” when you just mentioned it puts you at an extreme disadvantage to assassinate, which it does. There’s no reason to add that as equipment, and technically no reason to add it to the game at all.
Not saying I don’t want them to return. Assassinations are my favorite way to tilt someone in-game.
Nah, it was fine as it was, if they want to make it worth assassinating someone, they should give like temporary invisibility or a small speed boost as a reward
I don’t think it was ever OP it actually is slower then hitting someone in the back. You just hold the button down and it another way of tea bagging. Not an ability
I do agree with this a bit, but this is why they aren’t in infinite assassinating someone is not only a disadvantage but is also rude for the person receiving it, making it a equipment would not only give the opportunity to make it more skillful but also make the person receiving it have respect for you landing it instead of being mad/ or not be mad because the equipment could glow giving the other person a fair warning you can Assassinate.
I was referring to buffing it, for example if everyone could Assassination whenever that could be too powerfull if it was buffed to be usable but i guess that’s still a option.
I kinda agree there’s not really a reason to add them just providing some ideas.

Really the main change they should implement is the player dies as soon as there stabbed not when the animation ends.
That way at least your likely to get the trade either way. It was always dumb to get killed the last second tossing a body to the side and the game was like nah there good.
