Make Armor Team Colors like in Rocket League

Yes, another topic about Armor Colors

While I think that it’s great to have more variety in team matches other than the exact same tone of red or blue, there have been a few situations where I was fooled by an enemy which looked like a friend or where I shot at a friend because he looked like an enemy.

I think Rocket League did a good job with this. They split the color palette into two, and you can design two cars, one for each team (orange or blue).

You can still select a secondary accent color, which doesn’t have to be within this team-color-range. For example a blue car with red stripes.

This also invites you to try something different for each team.

Perhaps there could even be a third one for Free-for-All matches. Or you simply mark one as your preferred color.

I really don’t see people’s issues with identifying other players on the battlefield. It’s actually quite obvious who’s on your team and who’s not. People on your team ALWAYS have their GT over their heads while enemies will not. If you still have issues you can customize team colors in the UI section of the settings. I have my colors set as, My Team: Purple Enemies: Orange and fireteam/friends as Sky blue. While I do miss Halo’s old way of handling teams I do like the new way as well since we aren’t all one color anymore.

Personally I’m fine with how things are right now. Character customization has always been one of my top favorite features for a game to have so I’m obviously loving being able to customize our armor and I’m not really having a hard time telling who’s in what team. Maybe you just need to give it some more time and eventually you’ll get used to it!

Good for you.

However: If there IS a relevant group of people who reports this issue, it might worth thinking about it.

Yes, it’s not like this happens ALL the time. You have to have a strong blue or red color + have to be in the “wrong” team.
Those seconds of confusion can be very important.
And in the heat of a moment, the GT over someone’s head is probably the last thing I check
I mean, it’s shoot first - ask later.

But I didn’t know those settings. I guess I can’t really check them until the next flight.

I think it’s mostly a vocal minority of people who have an issue with the colour outlines instead of the red vs blue style of game, the only issue that I have with the new system is that they are no longer naming base’s red or blue for the map callouts even though they are still coloured that way in the map design and trying to use a callout like west courtyard or east gateway no-one know what the hell your talking about.

I just don’t want to see bright lines over everything you interact with in the game for the next 10 years. I understand some people don’t mind honesty I wish I didn’t. I don’t understand the customization argument, half the time you can’t tell what armor they are wearing or what color they are because they are glowing with thick out lines. The bright lines everywhere just takes away from how beautiful the game looks. I would be just fine with tages over my teammates heads and shoot anyone that doesn’t have one. I hope the campaign isnt covered in outlines…

AMOUR COLORS NEED CHANGED!!! I’m shooting at what looks like my teammates constantly and half the time die because it looks like a friendly.
