I hate to let you know this, but, you can do that achievement on any map.

No you cant, poster above me. I got both 3 kills while infected and the last man on Penance, and none of the achievements unlocked. Don’t critique people’s usage of their head before doing some research yourself.

I did two of the achievements on The Cage and did NOT get them.
No. Players should have the DLC if they want the achievements. It’s only fair. The game comes with 1,000 points. You need to buy DLC if you want more.
what topic creator said, to an extent. pretty annoying playing the remake of hang’em high on infection and being the last man standing, and no achievement.
either make an achievement playlist. or make a defiant hopper tuned to make the achievements more attainable. pretty annoying playing all night and it seems like everyone just wants to play ffa slayer on battle creek.

OP means that if you have the DLC you can do it on any map.
I agree that the achievements should be attainable on every map bc this is bull. Its 343 has been nothing but disappointments. Whats the point of having achievements if you basically have to boost them?
I concur, you should have the DLC, but since it is so rare to find it in any playlist, they need to make them attainable on all maps, just like the previous ones, otherwise no one will have any of the Defiant maps’ achievements, as there are only two of them and they barely ever get seen outside of the premium playlist, and even then infection rarely comes up.

this. anyone else remember how much it sucked trying to find a game of invasion break point for that one achievement?
it was impossible without a full party, luckily bungie put invasion in the dlc playlist later.
please 343, if you can do this, please toggle them for every map.
I would love to see some sort of comment on this and tell us if they plan on doing anything about it. Obviously this is a very minor, but certainly enraging to us achievement hunters out there, but Achievements are a large part of the Xbox now, so I feel they deserve attention, or at least some comment.

All the newly added Defiant achievements has to be done on Defiant maps same thing for all the new Anniversary achievements has to be done on Anniversary maps. So if we want the new Defiant achievements we have to boost and risk getting a cR ban. Becaus we all know that not that many have the DLC maps and getting matched with 1 player who dosent have the maps will screw it up for all of us that have the maps.

Becaus we all know that not that many have the DLC maps and getting matched with 1 player who dosent have the maps will screw it up for all of us that have the maps.
It doesn’t seem like 343 cares about the achievements/matchmaking since they won’t respond to us (not just on this topic either) or fix this.
I never did understand the idea of making them map-specific and then not offering those maps more frequently. It’s one of the reasons it took me so long to get Cross-Mappin’ because I assumed that since it said NOBLE … it meant it had to be done on the Noble maps, just as I assumed that since it said SLAYER it had to be done in a slayer game. Yet at the beginning of the month I got lucky in a Team SWAT game on Boardwalk (not a SLAYER game and NOT a NOBLE map) and found an AFKer at Blue spawn as I was running up the bridge from red spawn to red sniper tower/spawn and stopped to nail him. The achievement popped. I almost fell off my chair because for months I’d only been trying to get this on NOBLE maps and in SLAYER games.
Continuity seems to be a big issue with some of these achievements and with all the frustration I’m reading, it sounds like it may take until Halo 4 for some of us to get these!
If anyone wants to team up, to try and get the map with infection to show up on living dead, let’s party up and then we will try to get to tht impossible to land on map

The original DLC achievements could be earned on every map, as long as you had the applicable DLC, I have no idea why that changed. I speculate that it has something to do with the glitch that allowed the original Defiant achievements to be earned in custom games. However the Noble ones worked, and 343 is part of Microsoft, so I have no idea why there was that issue in the first place, or why they would make these achievements virtually inaccessible now.
This is so dumb they need to change where you can get it on every map not just a few. Very bad choice 343 not a way to make your fans happy
