Hi fellow Halo fans, so I’m thinking that they should make a Halo game based around the covenant. I was always fascinated by Halo 2 arbiter story and seeing these community of aliens. Did any of the covenant think the great journey was a load of trash and did the covenant have any scientist to question it. What Story’s could there be?

Ooh, a twist. I think that’d be hella interesting, no idea what the plot would be though…
I think what you’re asking for was already pretty well covered in Halo 2. If you played the Arbiter story then you should know there already was defection and questioning and the like.

Yeah but what about the sangheli civil war. The divide between the covenant and sanghelis. Plus Jul’Mdama’s rise to power creating the Storm Covenant.

Halo: Sangheli civil war. Story could be about a sangheli who works as a double agent maybe.

The Human, Covernant war lasted a while Open war (2525-2552 I think this is the correct year it started and finished. there could be lots of storys about defections maybe some humans converted to the covernant religion before they found the Halo Rings.
And I think it was in the Kilo 5 books but they say the Kig Yar basically behave when watched but really don’t give a crap about the great journey. They are more concerned with accumulating materials things for themselves.

In Halo 2 you have to kill a defector who has realized that the great journey is a lie. As a result he gets killed off. Technically this is before the schism. I do find it interesting that the Arbiter never mentions the fact that that guy (forget his name) was right.
I would like to see a Halo exploring Covenant history. Books cover earlier Covenant struggles as the Prophets and Elites clashed and later struggled to form the Covenant. Perhaps a game covering the Elite Prophet war before the Covenant. Or a game detailing the exploits of various arbiters throughout the Covenant’s history, like the first one, the one from Legends who denied the great journey, and whichever one turned the role of arbiter from one of honor to a badge of shame.
Odst type spin off, but you play as arbby the whole game that takes place bother before and later on during halo 5. osiris shows up later for SOME cross over as towards the end overlaps woth halo 5, and at the end of the game it shows both Arbby and Cheif planning their next move as it is a little bit after h5. And helps explain the guardians a bit more.
Oh and uses only locked 30 fps for better textures much like the cutscenes in guardians. those cutscenes looked amazing and wished they stuck with 30fps for those type of visuals in game
