As the title says… the majority of players in any given match are not actively trying to play well.
They’re simply going for challenges, ignoring objectives, and being single minded in their goals.
Challenges are still taking a heavy tole on infinite’s experience.
Change this.
challenges definitely have something to do with it, but i also think some players might actually just not be good. The skill gap between players is enormous.
I think alot of the challenges problems would be fixed if we could select desired game modes. If somebody just wants to shoot people, he should be able to play slayer as much as he wants. We have a arena slayer playlist but it should be so for btb too. A player having objective specific challenges should be able to just select that mode. It would also cut down on quitters because i personally leave all stockpile matches and do not feel bad because its the worst mode in my opinion that discourages pvp interaction. Stockpile matches arent big team battle, its big teams avoid battle.
although that is true, i think @ExMOSBoss was refurring to challenges that demand kills with a specific type of weapon. Above that i think most objective type challenges encourage bad play, since you can only get it when your teammates don’t get them or the enemy first grabs them, for example these flag specific challenges:
- return x amount of flags (you are encouraged to let the enemy grab your flag, otherwise you can’t return it)
- kill x amount of flag carriers (same as above)
- cap x amount of flags (if a teammate has the flag, you are encouraged to let the enemy kill him, otherwise you can’t cap it)
- kill x amount of enemies returning their flag (you are encouraged to let them kill your teammate, or to drop the flag and not cap it)
