For the first time in a while i thought my connection was dodgy, I noticed right away, the issue of terrible connections when I was getting doing my arena placement matches.
I have played around 8 game in arena.
Did the usual to check my connection ( I am former games developer GTA/Lemmings & server support) so know what I am doing, and all is fine.
So I check the utra-mega- thread (has to be the biggest on this whole forum)… (Eu server)
So went to investigate if there have been some server issues during the placements, thinking it could all blow over. BUT to my utter dismay, the forum is alight with people going off their heads about the regional server issues.
To put this into perspective, I love playing halo (not great at the game) so rank gold on average, but as I am in my 30’s I don’t play a great deal compared to some people. But I do enjoy the occasional night of slayer. I was really happy as the game was finally getting to a stable position for EU players.
But now if feel like I have been hammered back into the dark ages of non functioning games. If this is true, I am so so so disappointed.

Please someone tell me there is a braincell in this operation that has not realised how much this is going to affect the community. Plus if I am reading misinformation then correct be and I’ll go back into my box.
ps Not played any more matches since and will remove myself from the game till I see that this is not the case.

How can you be part of the ‘Silent Majority’ if the Forums are alive with people complaining (you said so, yourself).
I’d say the majority of players are in the US and they are not complaining.

I really wish people would do a bit of reading before making these posts. The added the region lock to begin with to address this problem. It was removed because tons of players said they couldn’t find games as a result. And now we’re back to the first complaint as well as a bunch of people who don’t seem to realize that it wasn’t just removed randomly, but because a lot of people were angry that they couldn’t consistently find games. There was even an extremely long thread about removing the region lock. The potential connection issues are well known.

I haven’t noticed much of a difference. Only two playlist that work at all for me are warzone and team arena. Everything else can’t get a single match no matter the time of day, at the start it was just warzone assault, BTB, free for all, team slayer. But has obviously gotten worse since.
