“…Proving in fact that Halo Wars 2 is conscripted & programmed so poorly that when operating either H5G or HW2 the errors in its program leave the user unable to engage either game…”
So, I’m playing Halo 5 & the game just chooses to not function. It’s only the end of an awesome WZ having used my only legendary RP boost; total freeze, trust me I waited. I did a total shutdown, including removing the power cord, shutdown of the wifi router (which I’m not technically using as I’m HDMI’d right out of the incoming ISP providers box), shut down of the ISP box, shut down of the power chord, the GFCI & the actual circuit breaker. Enough for my wife to come down and say, WTF? Waited a true 5 minutes & then plugged everything in, in a double sequence so that power would not be an issue, should it have been.
Reboot complete. Engage H5. Play WZ at a “Focused” setting. The game freezes as the Pelican is flying over water in the opening sequence for the ARC level. Big X button, Menu button, down down down, select “quit”. Engage H5, Arena FFA, playing, in 3rd place, 3+/- minutes into the game freezes. Now, I’m getting frustrated. I’m seeing a pattern yet not connecting dots.
My gaming partner and I (after I explain the situation) decide on a rational experiment, as non of these issues occurred prior to yesterday, the day I downloaded the Beta. “Partied” only in chat, we both open the Halo Wars 2 Beta. I have my official “High School Varsity Offensive Linemen Coach Stopwatch” on me. After. Going through all the pre game warm ups, and choosing Captain Cutter & after everyone confirmed and the game was beginning its official opening sequence; it choked. Those of you that remember 28.8k dial up or even worse 14.4k dial up would know what was going on yesterday … I started the timer, at 207 seconds I shut down the game and reset it to try playing it again. No more chatting. Flying solo.
I didn’t make it to choosing my player. 3rd time, it made it to the post choice screen / prebuild screen … 63 seconds … There was the pattern. There was the root.
There are no coincidences in today’s world of precision. Everything happens, and does so for a reason; 99.9% of those reasons are “Human Error”. This is an actual fact, non-debatable scientific fact. Now, I’ve established my theoretical question. The next logical step to my hypothetical theory, delete Halo Wars 2. Ok, that took 10 seconds.
I fired up what I think is the hardest process for the Xbox to run, to connect to & to play. I fired up a WZ in a focused setting (we’re both very close to the altar of 152), engaged an RP Jackpot Uncommon; the game played as if the Xbox were brand new.
Next was a game of Free For All, with an Arena boost of Legendary RP; unfortunately I tied for second loser. Yet the game played flawlessly. I might’ve been the host. Off & On between Arena & WZ … flawless gaming. I had some embarrassing moments, god awful perhaps, then again super sweet moments. It’s all about the team you draw & those that communicate & execute as a solid unit not superstars.
Proving in fact that Halo Wars 2 is conscripted & programmed so poorly that when operating either H5G or HW2 the errors in its program leave the user unable to engage either game; most seriously H5G. Leaving a huge doubt into the confidence that either will function, individually or together as it is rumored. Those in charge should be thankful that someone has taken the time to be so detailed into the specific locations of the layman’s visual experience of the errors & taken the time to use a watch to time the events.
With a presale of $79.99 I sure hope you act responsibly as you’ve made several $100’s of Millions already in the last 6 days alone.
