There has been a glitch discovered recently that allows players to phase into the map geometry almost anywhere, and on every map. A glitch like this is absolutely inexcusable, and ruins every single map. Here is a video of it in action.
We know Sitri. There’s been a few threads about it.
This is easily the stupidest glitch to date. I mean, how do you not see these things before release? Oh yeah that’s right, you rushed it and had no beta.
Yeah, people getting outside is fine. It’s fine that you like Halo 4, and genuinely appreciate 343’s efforts, but there is no excuse to defend this glitch.
I can sort of understand this sort of stuff from smaller developers that don’t have the sort of budget and so on necessary for incredibly deep testing, but stuff like this shouldn’t really be in the final build of the game from a developer like 343, which is (supposedly) made up of industry-veterans, and backed up financially with as much money as they need from Microsoft.
I can accept it wont exactly happen every match, but it isn’t/will not be that hard to get your friend to join your match on the enemy team and help you do the glitch. Sometimes the game even splits parties onto opposite teams so it does most of the work for you. Search in a party of team size plus one and your entire team can get under the map.
Someone (I think it was Tellychubby, not sure) was actually dismissing this glitch as just ‘something to complain about’ in another thread, which made me lol.

The glitch has only just come to people’s attentions. Give it a few days for a matchmaking video to appear, especially considering we don’t have a file browser yet.

The game chooses a spawn point at random to drop a weapon at. I don’t see a Binary Rifle spawn on Haven every game. The weapons are random. End of.

The weapon system has 2 types of drops. Initial ordinance spawn, which drops at the start of every game. It has a timer on how long it respawn. I am not quite sure why they have a short respawn timer on grenades, yet have the respawn timer on power weapons set long enough that we never see that drop again.
They also have Random ordinance spawns. There is a set list of 8 possible weapons that can drop from that spot, every drop is randomly selected from that list.

I just did it. Not that difficult. It just requires cooperation.

the videos have been posted all day long, I’ve yet to see anyone do it in match making. I had the day off and fragged out most of the day. That being said, you have to have the exact right circumstances, and have to have an enemy involved.
It’s actually very avoidable if you watch the video and know what not to do.
