The new forunner vision has been changed to Promethean vision correct?
Well i have figured out what could be a major part of the story!
On the halopedia page it explains that
“The Prometheans were responsible for creating “Warrior Keeps” known as Cryptums, where an exiled warrior could live in suspended animation for thousands of years.”
I coulda swore it was still called Forerunner Vision. However, Jake raises a good point. It could mean we’re fighting Forerunners, Prometheans no less, or at least seeing them in the game, though that was already obvious.
Could it be that Promethean’s could be our new enemies and the one sealed inside the “casket” is in fact the Didact? Would explain the Halo CE terminal hints at the Didact.
No, the Forerunners entrusted humans with all the relics, why would they fight us?
Oh wait, maybe they were like “thanks for babysitting, now step aside worms!”
That isn’t unlikely either.
Well I don’t think we’ll be fighting the forerunners, they are always described as being noble and intelligent. In addition they did leave the arc on earth and repopulate all the races they wiped out side from themselves so they clearly value life.
If some strange offshoot of the forerunner did decide to oppose the UNSC…we would be royally screwed. The covenant is just ahead of is in terms of tech and most of that is salvaged, the forerunners would annihilate us.
But luckily, as I said, I highly doubt we’ll be fighting them.

Oh my god,That would actually be amazing… And that thing looks like a big cryo tube.
And i really hope halo 4 story will have more references to the books then previous halo games.
so you mean we will see that thing, then in someway use Promethean vision to see whats inside?
