What’s 343 and Microsoft going to do to stop console cheaters using things like the Cronus, titan ect all the bs thats running scripts to basically win the games for the users and ruining console multiplayer ? This is going to make halo infinites pvp toxic as hell…
To clarify I am not referring to the usual pc hackers the cheating I am referring to is the third party devices that people are using to plug into their controllers and console. Google Cronus zen/Max to understand how toxic it actually is.

343 will have 2 options, Either run a dual anti cheat like fortnite, Or a kernal anti cheat like valorant.
Fingers crossed for a kernel anti-cheat… Valorant is relatively hacker free compared to Warzone.

Yeah i realised I wrote bungie… but do those anti cheats work against the console third party script runners like Cronus?
They should make their own anti cheat and name it ‘The Weapon’, for obvious reasons.
I imagine, because of their plan for a decade long experience, that 343i will be very dedicated to fighting against cheating. That doesn’t mean we won’t see it, it will also be our responsibility to seriously report any cheating we see going on.
It is an online multiplayer game, after all. Guarantee you will see a real cheat at least once sometime within the next 10 years.

Thats not a cheat, technically its a peripheral just like a mouse and keyboard, tradtionally people would use the chonos max plus/zen to use keyboard and mouse on console that is irrelevant anymore since the majority of FPS games support K&B on console now (apex fortnite halo mcc warzone cod etc etc)
since xbox one/series x already support M&K support devices such as the chronos zen are barely used anymore
In face I only use mine on my PS5 and I onlt use it so I can use my elite v2 controller on playstation

I didn’t realise you could run scripts on it, I thought it was only to allow M&K on console or to allow you to use other controllers on other consoles kind of thing

As a follow up, I have never encountered cheaters/hackers in Halo MCC with easy anti-cheat…but that might be because the population is not that high. I’ve seen some people that seemed to know more about this kind of stuff state that easy anti-cheat is one of the easier ones to circumvent.
I hope they take it the anti-cheat measures extremely seriously, as the amount of hackers is seriously ruining Warzone and its community right now. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen to infinite.

Unfortunatly controller/console requires some bullet magnetism becuase aiming witha controller is so unprecise, that said it definetly needs to be toned down from its H5 levels

I haven’t played H5, only MCC, but the bullet magnetism on MCC is pure cancer. Like, I have to play with input based matchmaking or else its nothing but being mowed down by people who only have to aim kind of close to me to get the magnetism to work. OG Halo 1-4 did NOT have such ridiculous magnetism back on the original consoles.

Well too be fair aim assist should be a thing with controllers because it’s not as precise but I don’t think Halo needs bullet magnetism, but that’s how the games were before so I get it.

If I remember right the bullet magnetism is tied to the framerate, hence why when playing MCC it seems much stronger then the OG release. Even more so on PC where the framerate can be uncapped.
To those in here unaware: 343i have an anticheat kind of built into their engine - The way they said it works is that it looks for miniscule things that aren’t human like or arent humanly possible - The whole point of the flights is to test this stuff so if the anticheat doesnt end up being good in the flights im sure theyll take some time to improve it.
Not worried, ill still destroy them
