Major complaint: 343, Please address

Spartan Ops needs Gold subscription. I’m not sure why, but it does. My main complaint with it is this: 343, you made a VERY short campaign, and the only saving grace was the Spartan Ops episodes which extended the story. WHY should I have to have a subscription to play them alone? Or, if I’m having a local party at my home, why does EVERYONE else have to have a Gold subscription just to play with me? It makes no real sense to cut off a part of the game that should work fine without being connected to LIVE, much less needing a Gold subscription just to play it solo. If someone could explain it, I would appreciate it greatly.
343 already saved money by not including an instruction manual, which was a bit annoying to pay so much for the game and not even get that. The game is an extension of a trilogy, and while it’s nice to see Halo again, it’s a bit disappointing that THIS is how 343 wanted to get the main series started up again. Such a short campaign, the fact you have to pay just to play Firefight’s replacement, and the multiplayer which was unnecessarily modified to make it more like Call of Duty. Add to that, Forge has less to offer, the Infinity multiplayer has to be saved to the hardrive, but everything on it only runs when you’re connected to the servers, so the point of taking up hard drive space for it is beyond me. All in all, very disappointing. Not really worth it’s price, even for the basic game. And to top it off, contacting the company that made it to file feedback is impossible, which to me means they really dont care about their players. Even Treyarch, when there was a problem, could be contacted and within days the problems were fixed.

It should be “you need gold to be able to download the episodes” rather than “you need gold to actually play the episodes”.
