I’ve purchased the majestic map pack about 3 weeks ago. The maps downloaded fine and I can play them in a custom game but when I go to play a game online I never get to play any of them. I’ve played everyday for the last 3 weeks at least 4 hours eachday and still not able to play them in any online game types. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I find it hard to believe that no one else has purchased the new maps yet…
Unfortunately there is no fix for this. The only way to play the DLC maps in online matchmaking is if EVERYBODY in the game lobby owns the DLC. If just a single person in the lobby has no DLC, then the maps will not show as that person cannot load them. Due to Halo 4’s population being low and mostly filled with non-DLC owners (since the fan base who would have bought the maps left a long time ago), the chances of matching a full lobby of DLC owners is very slim.
The best way to play the DLC is to try heading over to the Recruiting section on the forum and see if you can get a group together and search that way. The more people with DLC in your lobby, the easier it is to get the a chance for a DLC map to show (although it isn’t a guarantee that one will show). Also be prepared for people to vote for shipped maps even when a DLC map shows, because some DLC owners don’t like the DLC maps they bought.
