Two games in and both of them had people ‘allowing’ others to kill them in certain ways.
Pretty pathetic to try and get the achievements on day one in such a fashion, just so they can brag about how they already have 1500G or whatever.
I could understand it if the playlist had been out for ages and was about to be pulled or something (kind of like how people were begging for help boosting Crimson DLC last week), but Majestic only came out today lol
> They get their grenade double kill one game and it’s over… big deal.
No, it seemed to mainly be people jumping up infront of someone else so they could get the airsassination medal.
It’s not a big deal, but it still took the shine off my first few games in the playlist. They shouldn’t partial party boost - full party boost and don’t spoil the games of randoms in Matchmaking.

hm, double kill with a pulse grenade is easy(you can get it with 2 pulse, thats how i got it), but, the one ill see people that may boost is air assassination or “pig can fly” and maybe “didnt see it coming” (no one used jet pack (exept me) in every game i played yet)

As long as they dont understand MM achievements are a bad Idea this will keep on happening.
People will boost their achievements (and even moreso with the record 343I has of removing playlists making them impossible to get afterwards) so yeah give it a few days and when people have their achs done with then they will start playing normally again.

Well yea I see your point. Guess if you don’t go in full party you should be ready for it. After a few days they will probably be done though.
I find myself asking how this effects you in any way? If they’re boosting achevements its an easy win for anyone who’s actually playing the game the way it should be played.
Then lets also blame every other developer shall we?
Bungie had MP achievements on H3 and Reach
Treyarch has MP achs on their CoD games.
ID had MP achs on Quake 4
Ubisoft had MP achievements on the Ghost Recon Series and also on Rainbow six Vegas (SOme of wich were actually impossible to get)
So no, I don’t blame 343I i just blame developers (all of them) for thinking MP achievements are a good idea.

sigh… I was wondering how long it would be until this reply came up. Thanks for not disappointing.
It affects me because:
Instead of having an 8 player FFA game it’s instantly down to 6 as two people are trying to communicate to meet up somewhere and boost achievements and aren’t paying attention to others.
If you do happen across them they’ll gang up to kill you - perhaps ruining a spree
Kills and airsassination medals all carry points so they can finish above you in the scores etc. etc.
I’m not bothered that they’re getting gamerscore - that doesn’t affect me at all, but partial party boosting does.

Yes, and boosting occurred in all of them, as such it is the fault of the developers for adding the multiplayer achievements.

Yet 343I is not the only one tha thas done this.
I agree tho MP achs should not exist, they only make boosting an issue and then the devs (all of them) cry about people boosting on their games (Banhammer anyone?)

Nobody even attempted to suggest that 343i is the only company that has ever done this. I do not undterstand your angle.
Many companies have. And every company that has is to blame for the boosting caused by the inclusion of multiplayer achievements.

Achievements, like level systems in competitive games, are poor game design, I find. They reduce a piece of entertainment to a check list of things to do before you’re done with it. What’s bad game design, however, also seems to be good at boosting sales.
