I don’t think anyone’s asking and I haven’t seen it in anything posted on the map pack, now that it’s dropping next week do we get a 14 day trial on it like Crimson?

Crimson wasn’t a trial, just an error.
That “trial” was just a coverup for a mistake made by the people at Microsoft. They were trying to fix the issue that made people who had the Map Pack Pass pay for it again, and accidentally made the map pack available for everybody for free…
…so they decided to say it was a “trial period as a thank you to the fanbase.”

“Officially” (as in “cover up”) Microsoft has stated that it was their plan all the long to include the trial, so there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be doing this again.
I highly doubt it. I bet sales of the Crimsion map pack are the worse ever for a halo game
Halo 4 is doing quite badly at the moment precisely because of maps, it would be a smart move (if the maps are actually good) to put up the trial to drive players back to Halo 4.
Not arguing w/ you or stating your point is invalid, it would just simply be a good idea. Unless the maps suck, but in that case I guess enjoy the little cash you’ll get from impulse buyers Microsoft/343.

You can’t use ethics and Microsoft in the same post unless ethics is preceded by the word NO. Seriously, Microsoft has so much damn money and no morals. I guess that’s why they have so much money… I wish Halo was backed by Valve. We would then see eventual free to play Halos on the PC and free dlc. They know how to treat their customers. Microsoft does one accidental nice thing every once in a while and thinks it’s such a gift to the loyal customers. If I wasn’t so into Halo I would have stopped playing Microsofts greedbox before the 360 released.

As much as I love Valve, you’re grandchildren would be playing Halo 3 if it had been them.
It would be nice, but it’s not going to happen. They will lose money if they do that since not everyone will like the maps. They would rather you buy them first so they get their money.
It was quite entertaining watching kids laugh at those of us that bought the season pass/LE becuase they got them free just see the same kids cry foul when they found out that they’d have to pay just like everyone else. For that I hope they goof up again.

While i know you’re joking both Bs angel and frank awhile ago said it was a mistake.
The 14 Day “Buy and Play Program” was the Specialization program, to get your Specialization email, that’s why you could only download the Crimson DLC for free with the Specialization Priority Alpha file downloaded, and November 6-20, was how you got your Specializations.
The Free Crimson DLC Trial. Ahem I mean “Cover up by -Yoink!-” lasted 7 days.
It probably won’t happen again, since it was indeed a mistake.
