I love achievements, everyone does. Not that anyone usually cares about achievements. But. Has anyone noticed that the Majestic achievements look a little bit over the top to earn? Have a look at them… Doing these, ‘rare, near impossible feats, 3-5 times a game’.
Do these achievements seem a little over exaggerated?
All Halo multiplayer achievements are ridiculous. They evolve around luck more than quantity and skill. At least they aren’t specified to a certain map like they were in Halo 3. Those achievements were painful.
Kidding aside, there’s always going to be difficult achievements to get. I haven’t played reach in a while, but that double kill form the grave I could just never seem to get.
Yous have a point about the hardness challenge part, I know it myself, but in experience I have 60K’gs and Halo 3, Reach, and 4 have very silly ‘MULTIPLAYER’ achievements. The least they could of done was made a max out the specializations? complete all spartan ops? reach 130?
With my experience Gears of War, and, I hate to say, call of duty had simple achievements, I think Halo 4 goes to far with the, multiple air assassinations or killing someone zoomed in or using an armor ability the odds are 1-something beyond 2-billion.
The game holds our hand too much anyways. Halo 3, now those achievements… *shudders. But no I kid, achievements, not just in Halo but any other game are becoming easy to get. Halo kinda needs this and im glad they’re trying this out.

And these are difficult, but not entirely luck based. You need some skill for them. Crimson’s were entirely luck based. Compared to those, these are pretty easy.

Similar opinions. But still I don’t think anyone has thought…
What are the odds of assassinating someone whilst zoomed? They’d be zoomed by complete random, 1-100 are the odds, unless they are using a sniper rifle. Any agree this one is a little silly? -Why would you need SKILL? anyone can assassinate.
And… 3 Air-assassinations? Maybe… But how often can you jump around someone?
Or… The odds of someone using Promethean vision? Its not like everyone uses it for the entire time let alone keep it on whilst tracking you guns blazing. This one is VERY slim. And the camo one.
Skill may and may not determine someones or a group of peoples luck.

Those achievements that you suggested are easy things that anybody and everybody can do without much effort. Look back at the achievements in Halo 3, those were some good achievements. Getting a double kill with a single Spartan Laser shot in Lone Wolves, getting an Overkill in Lone Wolves, or even getting a Killtacular in DLC maps! They’re tough to get, and fairly impressive to see too.

> To me, this one seems to be a mix of getting lucky, and being aware of your surroundings. In the “Welcome to…” videos, Bravo made it clear that all of the maps are two-leveled. While playing on them, sticking to the upper level will keep you around rangers who will often be zoomed in attempting to pick off players at the bottom level. Tread softly and ready your knife.

> Bird of Prey

> This one seems luck oriented. Once again, two-leveled maps with jump routes. Stay close to your enemies, around those jump routes and wait for your prey.

> This one is more based on chance. It will happen eventually regardless of planning.

> This one might take careful planning. With good aim, if you grabbed the Rocket Launcher at the start, shoot “near” two enemies to pop shields, then let loose the pulse grenade.

> Pigs Can Fly

> 50% luck, 50% spatial awareness. Keep your ears open for the jetpack.

I think the Airsassinations are mostly luck-based, but the rest of them are skill with a little bit of luck thrown in.
