A thought i had, what if the main menu, the scene which shows the infinity and her fleet listing about a seemingly dead world is set after the events of the game and both hints at what happens and shows us some of what the infinity might have done after the created ‘awoke’
am i just over analysing a menu? probably but still something to potentially think about
Reasons for thinking this ~
- The infinities frigate fleet is deployed along with swarms of pelicans. Why would these be out on patrol unless there was some danger?
- The sheer urgency of all of the pelicans buzzing about, to me spells something big is going on and that they are needed right then and there
- The planet is seemingly dead and would serve as good cover for the fleet, it is after all unlikely the Created would search for the infinity around a dead potentially glassed world
- The planet could be used by the infinity to help repair, rebuild and refuel depending on if she has such facilities onboard
- The score is more reflective of the dark ending to the game rather then the brighter beginning [compare beating Jul and dealing the covenant a critical blow in mission 1 to losing earth and who knows how many major colonies in the last mission]
anyone else have any thoughts on this?

but AR beats both
might be over analyzing it, but it could be correct. Or they could just be patrolling an unknown planet and are prepared for an unknown

Plasma Pistol all day fellow Spartans
Sounds like an over analysis.
What makes you think the planet is dead?
Also, remember that Infinity was the only ship to emergency jump to safety when Cortana attacked.
Ships moving together in a fleet doesn’t necessarily mean they are on alert.

Big Friendly Giant?
It looks to me like the Infinity’s staging area.

just the lack of water or anything, though that could be due to the clouds covering it up
The infinity also carries six frigates inside of her, those are the ones we see escorting her and while i agree them being deployed doesn’t mean they’re on alert the only time we’ve seen those frigates deployed is when they were on alert

Only when wielded with a magnum

Makes sense, could be the infinity staging area at any point in the game even before it

All I can say is, I liked the beta menu much better. As well as the music. That music, my god. Osiris Suite Act 1. Even without Marty, Halo still has some of the best video game music out there.

True, but BR is better.
I’m not so sure. Infinity seemed to be the only ship that was unaffected by Cortana’s EMP (Or whatever it was) attack on Earth. They made a slipspace jump in order to stay hidden from Cortana, which is very much like Battle Star Galactica. That being said, maybe the Infinity has to be alone to prevent being found. So while it is an interesting theory you’ve made, I would say maybe, but maybe not.
Na, the main menu is just something put together in 5 seconds with no thought.
If you disagree with me, keep loving pointless things. The main menu could of had something to do with the game, like sangelios or a guardian. Look here:
Halo CE: Halo ring
Halo 2: New Mombasa
Halo 3: New Mombasa’s hole dig site where the ship was.
EVEN Halo 4: Space, Requiem, and the forward onto dawn in bits.

Infinity made the emergency jump before the Guardian’s attack; that’s why it was not affected. Infinity has no inherent immunity against Guardians, despite having Forerunner tech incorporated.
I think this is a wonderful idea. I never thought of it like that. I mean, the Beta did have it’s own screen and everything that was functional and moving. I can see this being true
What about dat grunt boi if you wait five minutes?
He’s just floating around the Infinity, it’s like he was cleaning a window and accidentally let go.

My bad, I remembered the ending incorrectly. But still, it gave me the feeling of Battle Star Galactica. If any AI supporting catches wind of Infinity I’m sure Cortana would be all over them in a second, so for now, it seems like they are on the run. Sorry again, for my faulty info.
