Whenever I go to Campaign, Multiplayer or Career submenus the game lags so much that I cant click anything, preventing me from playing the game. The settings menu is completely fine and so is the main menu itself but if I click anything beside Exit to Desktop or Settings it lags. I havent found anyone else with this problem
I have the same exact issue and I have no idea what’s causing it but after waiting I can slowly get into campaign and start playing with no lag whatsoever but the pause menu and everything still keep freezing although it does end up working for like a second and freezes again and in that second I just try to get to where I need to but it’s super annoying that it keeps freezing
Definitely bumping this, cannot figure out what is causing it. I dont seem to have neither fps issues in game or latency issues. Just seems to be an optimization problem.
Anyone found a fix yet…? Game is unplayable, reinstalling hasn’t helped
From what I’ve heard (so take this with a grain of salt), when the cheat blocker is enabled it causes freezing/fps drops. When disabled, the game plays smoothly. I think this is just an optimization issue until they fix the third party exe.
Bump, the game is completely unplayable for me because of this issue. I’ve tried validating the files through steam, reinstalling, disabling every background process, application, and in-game overlay I can think of, adjusting settings in game, and none of it has helped. It was working perfectly fine for the first few days that I played it and then this issue started happening as soon as I joined a multiplayer lobby with my friends. It happens in the campaign>missions menu, every multiplayer menu, the career & options menu, and in the escape menu when I open it in game.
Still an issue
If you have a second monitor try turning it off, That’s the only thing that seems to work for me.
Hope they can fix this bug soon
A friend told me the issue was the fact that I was running the game on Windows 7, said that they just aren’t optimizing games for that OS anymore. I updated to Windows 10 and the game works fine now. If any of you are playing on Windows 7 and you’re able to update to Windows 10 I’d give that a shot.
I had terrible lag in the menus but gameplay was fine. After reading Joel Chambers comment above I had the idea to disconnected my wacom drawing tablet which completely fixed it.
I had the same issue with the main menu lagging, but gameplay running just fine. Trying to setup a custom firefight took 5-10 minutes and forget trying to make a custom emblem. The weird part was that when i clicked out of the game to my other monitor, hovering the cursor over the menu options seemed to work just fine (until you click and you’re back in lagsville). I tried unplugging my wacam to see if that would work, it didnt. I tried launching the game without the anti cheat thing on, didnt fix it. Decided to upgrade to Windows 10 (could for free since i have my win7 product key) and it fixed the issue… so yeah, it was the OS i guess.
