Main menu goes dark immediately after loading

I just downloaded halo the master chief collection on Game Pass onto my Xbox One X The game loads fine and the second I push the start button to go to the main menu it goes so dark you can barely read it, it makes the game unplayable could somebody please tell me how to fix this problem, thank you

I am having the exact same issue, do I have to turn 4K off maybe?

I am having the same issue the menu is so dark I can’t read it.

I had the same issue today, resetting my HDR video settings in-game fixed it for me. The contrast was set to the lowest setting for some reason.

Was it a permanent fix? And when you say in-game do you mean menu or like in a match?

Yep for me it was permanent. It was in the MCC main menu, Options & Career > Settings > Video > Adjust HDR Settings > Restore to default settings.
