Personally, I think Halo’s signature main theme should reemerge for the final time (and the only time in the new trilogy) in the last sequences of Halo 6. It would be absolutely bone-chilling to hear and would bring the entire saga full circle. The end of the Halo era (assuming that Halo 6 is indeed the end) should go out with the series’ most epic and recognizable piece. I don’t think justice would be done without it. Thoughts?

I don’t mind 343i making new music for THEIR trilogy. It only makes sense.
However, I wish they would have kept a lot of the old music in the new trilogy. I love the music from the first trilogy a whole lot. I’m kind of saddened to hear it’s all gone. Pretty unexpected, seeing as how the main Halo theme played at the end of the teaser trailer from E3 2011.
But yes, that would be awesome. I just hope that if Halo 6 is indeed the end to Halo, and I surely hope it isn’t, then it better the most epic thing ever to happen in Halo, or quite possibly the most epic thing that’s ever happened in gaming upto that point.

It could appear in H4, but I have my doubts. I want it to remain absent from the entire trilogy until the final moments of H6. I can’t really explain why, but it would just feel more epic in a way when the final moments of an era are brought full circle with its most famous piece. It would give me more of an emotional impact if it only appeared at the end.

I didn’t mean parts of it coming in. I meant the actual songs themselves from other games. Halo 3 used the same songs from Halos 1 and 2, but also added new songs as well.
I don’t want them only to use parts of the olds songs in the new music. I want them to use the original score with new music alongside it.

As much as I love every Halo game’s music, I don’t really want to hear the same pieces over and over again. There’s at least 2 versions of nearly every piece of music.
They’re mixing some of the old with the new, rather than have the old and the new along side each other, which is great because instead of getting the same pieces of music again except sounding a bit different, we get new music with some familiar tunes thrown in. However, I do hope we have a few direct remakes of some pieces, especially the ones that haven’t been remade yet (Peril from Halo 2 for example).
Im glad they have new music, i just hope that one day there will be a game with music as great as halo 2
I really hate to say this. I’m just not really moved by the music of halo 4 so far. Always thought the original music was more interesting, miss the classic halo 1-3 gameplay, mainly hoping for it to return to the old gameplay.
