Magnum Tips

Hey guys. So I’ve noticed how effective the magnum can be in arena. It seems like everyone uses is and that it’s far more versatile than the assault rifle. My skills with it have been improving (not that it’s hard when you suck) but I noticed that I’m very frequently getting people down to no shields, only to watch them scurry away somewhere. Being able to finish people off is important, and I’ve lost my team many kills from letting the other opponent get away or run to team mates. Do any of you have any tips for how to be effective with the magnum?

Simple strategy guide with the magnum with a few short & easy steps. Step 1: Catch your target off-guard, and make sure they are out in the open. Step 2: Ready your magnum. Step 3: Get the first shot off and put rounds on target. Step 4: Profit.

^this.

If they’re getting them to no shields then you’re missing the last headshot. Just aim for the head

I prefer trojans

Close range: Spam and strafe. Sweep the reticule over their body back and forth while spamming. Take a sec to line up that last headshot.

Mid Range: DON’T use smart link. Line up your shots and stay focused, and fire close to the max fire rate.

Long Range: Use Smart Link, control the recoil, focus extra hard, pace your shots and hope for the best.

Aim for their chest until you see their shields pop, then aim for their head.

Step 1: find enemy
Step 2: shoot enemy

That’s about the extent of my knowledge hope this helps

Timing, don’t spam the shots.

Wow! I didn’t see that one coming at all! You really are a clever one.

Get a team that communicates so that you can let them know if enemy has shields down so they can clean up.

Try to play to the strong points on a map, where you get the enemy out in the open, or where there’s not many places for them to escape easily. This usually involves having the higher ground.

Save your grenade for when you need it. Don’t just toss it at them when you see a blip on motion tracker. Chances are they will dodge it, or head back into cover and let their shields recharge.

In what world does it make sense to tell teammates someone’s shields are down? If theyre close enough to act on that information they should already be shooting that opponent anyway

Just watch the pros and do what they do. Most of what you’re talking about can be fixed by your map positioning.

Phase 1: collect underpants
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Profit

Assault rifle is for close range

Hit someone with pistol a few times when approaching and if you cant finish them off switch to assault rifle rather than reloading pistol

Close range, use AR. You’ll be at a disadvantage against anyone who is using AR against your Magnum.

There is no recoil.

It always has 100% laser pointer accuracy no matter the distance or how fast you fire.

I’m the same way. I can get the first 4 shots no problem, but I choke on the final shot.

Don’t panic with the aimer while shooting. Just looking at your opponents movement, their strafe, and you should be able to become more consistent
