Please nerf the magnum. In Halo 5 it is very good, it replaces many main weapons something that is rare being only a secondary weapon. What do you think? Thanks
I personally think the H5 Magnum was pretty well balanced; five shots to kill but you have to hit them all And headshot the fifth. I found that it has a good balance between TTK and skill level, but I think some small change could be healthy for the use of the gun in multiplayer.
The Magnum in Halo 5, as a standalone weapon, was a very good weapon. However, a pistol shouldn’t be the go-to weapon in a Halo sandbox imo. What should be is the Battle Rifle and the Magnum should be for finishing off weak opponents

They’ve already covered this: they agree. This is why the sidekick is replacing it as the main UNSC pistol weapon. Quinn DelHoyo said in the first Ask343 that they wanted classic weapons to remain identifiable and classic - and in the magnum’s case that’s it’s CE form, hence it’s been replaced with the Sidekick (much more like Halo 5’s gunfighter magnum) as a default weapon.
I got the implication that the magnum may not even be in the game at release but may return later.

I’m excited for every part of that except the CE magnum returning later. For all the focus on a tight sandbox I’m not sure why they want to introduce new things into it that will muddy the waters. Halo 3 managed fine without weapons/sandbox items being added after launch.
I guess that opinion is subject to change though, this is a live service game after all, and that content would be nice to see in custom games, I just don’t know if I’d like to see the Arena sandbox change drastically every couple months. If it changes, it’s hard to really grow as a player when the variables keep changing

Yeah but bringing it back I thnik like with H5’s CE magnum it would be as a powerweapon and with a clear sandbox role
Legacy weapons returning later is cool for customs or fiesta type games.
Overall I like the H5 magnum. It pairs very well with the AR as a versatile starting combo.
But you would still swap to most pick up weapons as you ran passed - which is a good indicator that the balance is pretty much right. I definitely swap to a carbine on most maps… and maybe the DMR (bigger maps) or BR (mid-sized). Always take the boltshot over the AR (but the SMG not so much).
