So, with the classic Halo CE pistol being able to be used in matchmaking after HCEA, it got me wondering if we can forge these classic guns. Also, if we are able to forge the new gun, will the old magnum still be available?

The new magnum is only available through the gametypes. It isn’t an actual object that can be brought into a map. The gametype just alters the already-existing magnum to behave more like the original.
Think of it the same way that SWAT works. It may give you a one-shot DMR, but that one-shot DMR isn’t a seaparate gun from the regular DMR. The settings just alter it’s performance.
