to those lucky enough to have used, what are your thoughts on the mag and wich magnum from other halo titles would you compare it to as far as damage RoF etc
I was wondering this as well. Hopefully someone has used it.
From what I’ve heard, I would compare it to Reach’s, but slightly weaker and with less bloom.
actually, i got to use it in the e3 demo, and it wap pretty great… useful to some extent.
Reach’s magnum was crap, bearly effectiv, i put it at a Halo 3’s kinda strenth, but with faster rate of fire, and no super bouncy bloon, it actually hits the target. all in all, its a good weapon to use, as a primary or a back up

Good idea.

The H3M6 takes 5 bullets single wielding, 6 bullets dual wielding, to kill a fully shielded enemy to the head.
A single H3M6 not only fires at about 50% the RoF of the HRM6, but it is also without the precision that the HRM6 is capable of with paced firing.
From this, it’s a wonder why you would think the H3M6 is stronger than the HRM6.
From what it appears, the H4M6 fires 6 bullets in around the same time, maybe less, than the H3M6 fires 6-shots when dualing.
The precision of these shots are also greater than H3’s M6.

so kalipzo, from what I have seen video wise (I have not played
) it almost looks like the H4 pistol can piss bullets away at H2 magnum speeds. but obviously packs a bigger punch, but not as accurate as h2 b/c of bloom…would you say that’s true?
can the new magnum shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger like h2? that’d be sweeet
In a nutshell, the Halo 4 Magnum has about the same rate of fire as the Halo Reach magnum would when spammed. But it doesn’t bloom nearly as bad, and is a 6 shot kill. Meaning it will be ALOT more consistent in kill time, instead of being randomly all over the place like Reach’s. But that’s balanced by it taking that one extra shot.

yes, basicly! it all depends on how fast u can pull the trigger. it does pack a nice punch, but its a little more accurate than Halo Reach’s. its no a useless gun at all
hopefully they keep it strong in the final game

hahaha alrighty then?? lol
from what I’ve seen I actually loved the new Magnum
better looks and sound and a new unique reticle while it’s nerfed in order to make it a real secondary weapon
