Has anyone else seen magic/curved bullet paths from the DMR or BR? I have about 4 or 5 videos where the whole reticle (the crosshairs as well as the outer ring) are about a foot away from the target and not only do the shots hit but they are counted as head shots. This happens when I am firing at other people and also when they fire at me. It doesn’t happen all the time but enough to be frustrating in tense firefights when one miss could mean the difference between getting a kill or a death.
Also, one time I shot the SMG at a guy and wasn’t point blank but definitely wasn’t that far and when I was about to kill him the bullets were hitting his armor but he never died. In between my gun becoming ineffective and me realizing it wasn’t doing anything he was able to shoot off three BR shots so I know the game didn’t hiccup and just kill me when it reconnected. Since this only happened once I’m assuming it was a bug but the magic bullets are really frustrating to me especially if this is a game mechanic 343 is implementing to make the game more of a twitch shooter instead of being about aiming skillfully.
Yeah this game has insane amounts of bullet magnetism. Idk why this -Yoink- has to be in console shooters these days. Im drunk most of the time I play halo and I dont need this -Yoink-.
I hope they dramatically decrease the power of magnetism of bullets in this game… It would save it for me

I was actually spectating a dood today and noticed his aiming reticle seemed significantly off yet still seemed to be getting even headshots.
It should at least be toned down
No your not the only one >__< It doesn’t help that the hit-box is MASSIVE! I swear the hit-box is the size of 2 Spartans! These are some of the most serious problems among other things.
Lower the hit-box to the exact outline of a male Spartan.
Lower or remove hit scan and remove “bullet tracking” entirely. (Halo 3 FTW!)
Possibly raise auto aim (just barely) to compensate.
You know how everyone is talking about the AR being OP? That’s not true. Its because of the massive hit-box. It’s much easier to spray and pray from any position and hit the mark with an AR. Just look at how many bullets it takes to kill. Its about the same as the other games.
I also think that shields should be raised by at least 20% or more.

You guys do realize that the killcam/spectating is not a viable source. It always lags behind a little so it appears that the enemy’s reticle is not even on you when he fires while on his screen it actually is.

Why do you say “Halo 3 FTW” when it had significant amount of aim assist when compared to Halo: CE? Out of all the games, Halo: CE took the most skill, and the pistol took the most skill to use… Way more than the. BR/DMR EVER took.
i swear… If 343 added the bells and whistles like sprint and dash but made the rest of the game just like halo 1… It’d be phenomenal…
I can’t manage to understand how the Covenant managed to defeat the Spartans. Their are magical. LOL. Most of the times this happens to me when people connection are godly compared to mine.

I’ve had this happen to me with the sniper. I got the headshot medal, and I casually said well, I completely missed, but I’m not going to argue with it. I thought it was just a glitch due to lag, but if this is a problem, then they need to fix it.

And that’s why killcams should be removed and burned in hell. They are directly taken from COD, and they don’t even work!!! D@FI_IC like really c’mon 343, REMOVE THEM will ya?
The kill cam is bogus.
The aim assist is crazy heavy in this game.
It’s definitely good to hear that Im not the only one experiencing this! I definitely agree with all your suggestions to 343 hank, those would go a long way.
In Regards to killcam not bring a trustworthy source, I don’t see why that’s completely the case. I understand if there wasn’t a kill cam and i was complaining that the guy that killed me wasn’t even looking at me because there is always going to be lag between what I input, what the other guy inputs, and what the game actually decides to “count” is real. But with killcam I would think the game is showing me what the other person was seeing…since that’s the case I don’t see why there would be lag on that. Yes there might be lag on how quickly it shows me the video but if you’re watching a video on Netflix and it stutters you don’t see one person move faster while the other person slows down. That being the case I would think the other guys feed is the accurate feed so bullet magnetism would be the only option. And if you’re saying that you can’t trust kill cams which show the other guys inputs and I cant trust mine (because when I die from bullet magnetism I know it instantly) then this beta is basically a game getting 2 inputs choosing to do whatever it wants and then showing both observers something different which doesn’t make sense in a game. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just trying to understand it myself and was giving my thoughts on it.
But even if kill cams aren’t the best source, I have plenty of times where I was the one doing the killing with bullet magnetism.
I definitely think kill cams should be taken out of halo because they aren’t necessary and only create more frustration by having people analyze their deaths and basically starting debates like the one here.
Someone suggested decreasing the rate of Fire for the br and dmr which I would agree with as opposed to increasing the shield strength.
And to the few that said that we need to give bungee a little leeway since this is a beta, I understand that and I’m not judging halo 5 before it comes out. I’m detailing the things I don’t like about the beta to see if others are seeing the same things so I can tell if my experience is just an anomaly and because the exact reason 343 is having a beta almost a full year in advance of the release of the game is to get feedback so they have enough time to change the gameplay to the liking of their fans by the time of release. They’vestated that explicitly themselves.
Defintley think the game is promising but could use a few tweaks.
