I am not sure if bullet magnetism is a real thing, but I see the phrase a lot in the forums.
Since week three started the aiming seems really off in the beta. Players that glance a bullet in my direction hit hardcore, buy my shots, which tend to be well placed, don’t do nearly as well as the shots that have been twitched off.
Am I imagining these things? Does anyone else have these issues?
I started out enjoying the beta, but this week has become pretty sour between slow matchmaking speeds and magic bullets…

Nope same situation with me, it has partially to do with the hitboxes, because i think they might have accidentally been shifted week 3 or something, but basically you will get more head shots by aiming closer to the chest, because of the way the gun work, i.e. bullets drift up for some reason.

Bullet magnetism is a real thing. Its ridiculously high in this game an needs a major nerf.
All those questionable headshots and howd i get hit moments. Understand its built into the game.
Combined with rather large hitboxes and the skill level drops like a rock.
The bullet magnetism is a real problem in this game.
Between the BR kick, spread, bullet magnetism and hitbox size, the BR is more like a 4-5-shot long range shotgun then it is a rifle. Mid range you should aim for the chest, short range aim for the neck, and long range aim for the stomach (and very long range aiming for the legs even… so dumb).
Having quality aim on someones head is a thing of the past, along with quality strafe battles, and along with aim assist that actually assists player input. The aim assist we have now is like a massive sensitivity drop, making the reticle get heavy, sluggish, and stuck. The aim assist causes tons of under aim, and overcompensation for the stuck reticle causes ample amounts of over aim. No wonder the hitboxes are so big, the aim assist makes it impossible to line up shots.
The fundamental core process of aiming and shooting in Halo 5 is very disappointing. Love most of the other high level concepts though. The game still shows a lot of promise.
