So I saw the Headlong H5 forge remake, and noticed it seemed a bit bland. soo…
There are other obvious areas I could of done, but You get the point.

considering the blocks in forge are all bland and colorless its going to be hard not to make a bland map.
True, but u can Change the color of objects, not sure why 343 decided to leave it grey.
dude the map looks like garbage. i dont know why you would want to polish garbage.

the original was basically nothing but brown… tho admittedly the brown was varied along the walls.
I think you’re being excessively critical of community creations with a new system. A couple people were given the new tools and made behemoth maps that accurately portray the originals with sheer finesse. If you don’t like community creations, too bad. These maps will probably be fan favorites considering how much love there was for the originals. Headlong looks recognizable and easily distinguishable for each structure based on its simple aesthetics. It’s not overdone to the point were the Spartans blend into the very tiny grains of scenery. At this point, it comes down to the wonderful game play that Halo is packed with. I’d be pretty bugged if someone who saw a distanced picture of my slaved over map called it -Yoink- prematurely.

Here’s a quote in case you didn’t read the article and you were just saying that for no reason.
> Fast forward a few months, and we’ve brought some of the community’s top Forgers in the studio: Warholic, The Fated Fire, The Psycho Duck, Nokyard, and Ducain23. As you saw in the Forge reveal, these gentlemen provided feedback on Forge tools and features that ultimately resulted in a wide variety of improvements across the feature set. During their time here, they also started working on large-scale Big Team Battle maps that were inspired by classic battlegrounds including: Sidewinder / Avalanche, Standoff, Burial Mounds, Longbow, and Headlong.

Yea… I wouldn’t expect them to unless it was put up on video the feedback was positive and mostly everyone considered it a good map but being in the main map rotation for the slayer playlist or something similar no, prefer a forge playlist or more social playlist then having it as part of btb, team slayer etc.

> 1. I’m fairly certain that they were stating the dlc was the req cards. Maps are a community update if anything.
> 3. They were edited in house for fine tuning after being created by community members. There is no reason for them to discontinue allowing community creations into playlists like they always have. I think we all know they won’t stop that now.

Ducal put up a video talking about this update. he’s says the maps are a blast to play on and expects the other 2 (1 of which is his) to drop soon.
Yeah, I’m really excited to play on Headlong after so much time has passed. I never could get that rotation in MCC. Makes me wonder if the’ll add the Specter back into the game. It was an original lineup vehicle if I recall correctly. Then again, these aren’t exact recreations and may have various additions with clambering in mind. If you look at the dangling bridge section, it has a ramp that leads from the gateway over the the cinema. This might actually be better paced than original headlong.
Out of those two versions I think I actually prefer the grey version. But I understand your main point.
yours is better they should fix theirs.

btw, im not claiming the forge remake of headlong is -Yoink-, Headlong one of my favorite maps of all time. Im excited to play on this map, hoping it plays the same. I was just wondering why they left the building grey, when one of the touted features of halo 5 is being able the change the color on objects.

It’s possible to go overboard on colors.
The grey keeps the industrial feel Headlong is supposed to have, and doesn’t get distracting with a multitude of colors.
Maybe some things here and there, but I wouldn’t expect them to turn an entire building bright red.
Yeah, it is strange. I kind of like the gray as it is a neutral metallic color. The visible buildings that are part of the main complex are gray while the “under construction” building is a distinguished yellow. It is one of the main spawn points for the teams. It houses the flag and the bomb planting point and needs to stand out. I don’t think we’ve been given textures to work with yet, but having this color palette allows a player friendly environment where everyone knows the main objective amidst an ever scaling city. Also… DAT CRANE!!!
