Well, we’ve all, in the past few hours, have started to notice that the Recruit Armor is default and the LE just provides a skin for that armor.
Surely, with all of the “Recruit vs Fotus” threads made on here in the past several months, someone at 343i would have noticed this and corrected us with just a single post?? I’m pretty mad that they didn’t. I know that their official bulletin said “skin” now, but they could have easily jumped in an corrected us in a thread or on neogaf.

It’s not important to the game, but it’s pretty important to those who pre-ordered LE, thinking they were going to get something exclusive. So what exactly am I paying an extra forty bucks for at this point, if everyone gets the armour? Avatar props? Yeah, wow thanks.

Probably the same stuff that made me pay the extra 40$.
No a skin, or avatar prop but something meaningful. The important stuff:
•Bonus in-fiction content expanding the characters and stories of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn and their connections to Halo 4
•Special Featurette: Bringing Gaming into Reality
•Making of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn
•UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet which includes a Spartan armor customization schematic, an introduction to the massive ship UNSC Infinity, and insight into what it means to be one of humanity’s finest warriors: The Spartan IVs.
•War Games Map Packs: The Limited Edition includes access to nine maps - three future competitive multiplayer map packs, each including three locations, available for download post-launch on Xbox LIVE.
•The Special Edition of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, a 90-minute extended version of the live-action digital series which will take fans back to the terrifying beginning of the Human/Covenant war, when the Master Chief inspired a young cadet who would eventually become a leader aboard the UNSC’s greatest vessel ever: the UNSC Infinity.

I’d like to apologize for creating confusion in regard to this. I said last night on Twitter that the LE comes with armor and skin, but that was incorrect. LE gets the Recruit Prime skin. You get the base Recruit armor the first time you enter Infinity and your Spartan is created. The second I realized there was conflicting messaging between marketing, retailers, and us, the very next thing I did was come here to make this post.
Again, many apologies, and I hope this post clears things up, at least a little bit.

I thought this was the case.
And you’re saying one of the best looking armours is default? Sweet move.

Fotus armor is console exclusive correct? I’m getting both Console and LE. It doesn’t really bother me that everyone get’s recruit. It’s a good looking armor that won’t be an eyesore as default.
