I don’t think it’s Macer. All the Spartan IV’s (so far) have been invited/hand picked from existing serving UNSC personnel. It would be a huge change in policy for Macer to become a Spartan. I do think she’ll make an appearance in Halo 5 at some stage though, possibly contacting Locke when/if Sedra is attacked

Tanaka. She is already a S-IV, while Macer doesn’t seem as prepared to be a ground troop. Maybe mission control or pilot of their ship.

Tanaka since she was on the IMDB page for Halo 5, then they took her down to keep it a secret. I don’t see why else she’d be in the game.

I’m honestly thinking it’s both. That white spartan just doesn’t have a masculine look to me. Not to mention nothing about the armor or weapon rings Romeo in anyway. As much as it would suck to have Buck and Romeo split up, I do indeed think that was the case and Locke’s squad is as follows:

Locke
Buck
Macer
Tanaka

And this would also go perfectly with what I think 343 is doing in trying to make the teams mirror images of each other.

Has anybody even considered Spartan Thorne? Halo 4’s limited edition showed that he’s supposed to pick his specialized armour which he hasn’t as far as we know yet. Seeing as the white Spartan has no resemblance to Romeo it could be Thorne?

Macer. This is a character that fans are more familiar with, who starred in Nightfall alongside Locke. Tanaka was just introduced.

I will point out something someone noticed on the picture discovery threads; the red one has an M on their boots.

I think Macer would be the better choice, she is already a familiar character, a good one at that in my opinion.

I’d love to be Macer. I just feel Tanaka is not as known as Macer is. Plus she HAS an “M” in her boots as they were saying before.

I think/hope the white one is Tanaka and the red one is Macer. I want more Macer. Given the ODST armor and the voice in the Beta, the last one almost has to be Buck.
