I was playing a VS AI game last night against 2 MAC Blast wielding murderers. 1 comp would use a MAC Blast leader power, then the other would use another MAC Blast right behind it- devastating my entire population! I went from 100 population to having 2 Hornets left. This happened several time in the game. I finally won because I got my economy booming and countered by rebuilding my forces and attacking during the cool down.
You’ve seen this in other posts- but the leader powers in this game are over powered in the hands of the AI! (I posted a thread about the Glassing Beam) The AI can use powers to much greater effect as because it can move faster and direct units at the same time. A human player has to micro the power itself leaving his units open or open to your team mate.
Bottom Line: MAC Blast in the hands of a AI is devastating!

I, surprisingly, have to agree. Leader powers in general on this game seem OP. Honestly it seems a lot more reliant on leader powers than general army composition.
I don’t prefer that at all since even non-AI HMNs can use a single leader power to almost wipe out a whole army, and there isn’t much you can do about it and no D. Bombs I think, which makes it way worse.
I don’t know, some people might like the greater emphasis on leader powers but I definitely don’t, especially without a D. bomb.

I don’t mind them, what I don’t like is that they are essentially required, making the other leader point options moot. You’re severely handicapping yourself if you don’t invest in anew offensive power.

True. Without using leader powers to the max extent you’re shooting yourself in the foot. I’ll even venture to say that you cannot win without them.
Have to agree kind of wish the Mac power has similar to HW 1 version with multiple shots rather than a big blast radius. also your forces should be able to out run the glassing beam slightly having it at the same pace kind of sucks.

Well, yeah. The heightened importance of them makes the argument for a Dbomb even stronger then.
