If it were up to me, Halo 4 wouldn’t be there either.
Lol no, on Xbox and PC Xbox app, you more or less have to download the entire thing, then uninstall the parts you don’t want. You can sometimes get it to launch and remove some of it from the “ready to start” point, but it doesn’t always work. And on PC Xbox app, theres a well known problem where after uninstalling content the drive space is still blocked off and unusable.
wouldn’t everyone get ticked if they had to add microtransactions since its a crucial part of warzones gameplay?
it’s won’t come to the mcc, it’s just too big of a game to add. unless they have some magic compression or they can strip some things out that they don’t need to include.
i think it’s time for a full port of halo 5, finish what they started with halo 5 forge but put it on steam as well as the store.
even though infinite glosses over halo 5 the collection is incomplete on pc.
Players choice.
Never bought anything and I unlocked all the armour and weapons ages ago. And once you get all the armour you unlock 6000 req points instead of armour with a gold pack.
Never worried about running out of weapons after that.
Keep that garbage out of MCC!
halo 5 is no way worse than halo 4’s campaign, they are both equally iffy but halo 5’s campaign was more exciting imo.
I 100% back this OP, stay strong because this is one of the major topics people on the forums will attack you for.
Halo 5’s campaign was trash, just the same repetitive boss fights over and over AND OVER. At least Halo 4 had SOME original ideas it didn’t constantly recycle, like the mammoth,
Story wasn’t brilliant but the characters we’re poorly misused.
The legendary blue finally made their first appearance… 3 missions.
If Osiris had a their own game that didn’t play too close to Master Chiefs story it may have had a diffrent reception.
For example Alpha nine and Noble team had thier own games and they we’re both great in my opinion.
well reach was done by bungie, that’s why it was excellent.
halo 3 was peak bungie but reach was an amazing end to their series of games.
halo 4 was 343’s first full fps game and now infinite is their third, they haven’t reached reach level amazing yet.
i still consider 5 better than 4 but i’m not sure if infinite is better than 5 yet…
sequels are meant to outdo the previous, we know infinite is a sorta “soft reboot” but at it’s core it’s still a sequel, they just glossed over what happened between 5 and infinite.
Why? The whole point of MCC was to port the Xbox Original and Xbox 360 versions of the game natively to Xbox One. Halo 5 ALREADY EXISTS and was designed for Xbox One… thus no need to duplicate it in MCC.
It’s the same reason why there no H3A… H1 and H2 shipped on the original Xbox with its limitations. the anniversary version was made to take advantage of the new 360 era hardware… which H3 already benefited from since its LAUNCH.
As a pc guy, I’d like a port to play the mp, and run through the campaign one more time. I never had a one and an X is ways off for me to purchase, plus I’m the type of guy to love have everything in a machine not tied to generational hardware. I think it’s doable and it’s be much better to keep it off of MCC.
Not because it doesn’t belong or anything, but that would cause more of a headache than needed when at this point a pc port is all that’s missing. No need to add extra hoops.
I think that’s what people mean when they say they want it on MCC. One owners probably already own both so adding to MCC for them doesn’t make sense. Port it to pc and be done with it.
Won’t hold my breath though. It’s a divisive title that would only attract hardcore halo fan like myself that hasn’t gotten an Xbox since the 360 yet. I doubt it’d attract much desire from the general audience when they could have either infinite or MCC. The latest game, or all the classics from the golden years they remember.
Yeah when is this going to happen so I don’t have to go on to the other console just to play one game
I thought we agreed that the MCC should only have good games…
Yes it’s only a matter of time before H5 gets ported over. I assume they will update the core game when that happens to remove microtransactions etc
There are so many things the MCC needs before considering an eventual H5 port, I wouldn’t mind it but I if MCC gets H5 before a release of all modding tools, workshop support and a proper map loader integrated into the game or before split screen coop, I really would question the sanity of 343i…
Completely forgot there was no split screen for halo 5.
that and you can’t play forge offline or warzone firefight offline or do coop campaign over lan between two consoles, it has to be online.
they released a uwp lan app for pc but it’s only for mutliplayer, not coop.
halo 5 forge is online only too.
they’d need to get rid of the online drm if they do a full pc port or not bother at all.
Thats insane. They dont learn from past mistakes with things like this. I cant play Halo infinite campaign offline.
