That’s not the point, the point is that Infection isn’t gonna be fun if you have like 5 - 6 Bulldogs pointed at you and picking you off from 2 lunge distances away. And the Survivors can stagger their reload and form a wall which you can’t get close to.

Before you suggest giving Infected equipment, just think how much more complex this has become vs just giving us the classic shotguns.

I thought infection was a mode that was constantly growing with the game as well. I don’t understand why you don’t want the mode to be critically more complex (in hopes its better) than playing a mode meant for 2007. You can literally play that version not just in Halo 3, but literally play the same design in Roblox.

So when infection does come, even if the complex thinking for change isn’ t the problem. The only thing we should worry about is if the change made it better.

And this change won’t. There’s a reason why Pump Shotgun vs Swords have felt good and has remained in the series for 20 years, why change it now when Bulldog is going to be drastically different?

In fact if you customs a pseudo Infection mode in customs right now with bots, it’s really clear the Bulldog is kinda overpowered for the mode cos you can effectively kill 6 enemies before they even get into lunging range, something the Pump couldn’t do.

I don’t mind them adding new mechanics at all, but why make a fun game mode needlessly complex and suck all the fun out of something meant to be casual? Additional mechanics don’t always equals fun, as H5’s core gameplay has shown time and time again that people don’t really enjoy the Spartan Abilities that much. In fact Infinite wants to “go back to basics” no? Then give the players the OG experience or you will be entertaining a niche crowd.

It all depends on whats casual. I still played Halo 5 infection casually when the core mechanics were meant to be a sweat fest. So I am open to see if and if are there are changes that make it better and hopefully not for worse. Im not against having old infection back, but I am still open to new designs.

You said you fear this infection because of more ammo reload and annoyance for infected players. I would just change match size and make infected players move faster or change lunge range.

What are you talking about? H2A is amazing. How are there no games to be found?? You searching the right servers?

But if you want to compare the two, take screenshots of the one seen in the campaign and the one seen in the multiplayer.

Saber Interactive did all the remastering in the Campaign.
Meanwhile Certain Affinity used the Halo 4 Engine to remaster assets for Halo 2 Anniversary’s Multiplayer.
As a result, they have separate models for most of their weapons, with some differences more obvious than others.

The Bulldog needs to be replaced by the classic pump action shotgun. In a game where 343 is trying to make every weapon unique, it is odd to me that the Bulldog and Heatwave are both semi-auto shotguns. The classic shotgun should be the harder hitting but lower fire rate shotgun (needed to counter the sword) while the Heatwave should be the weaker but faster firing shotgun with richochet particles.

The bulldog should be removed from the main sandbox and exist as a shotgun variant, it is not unique and doesn’t balance gameplay.

Then why did 343 make lore an essential part of their sandbox design, citing the lore on why the AR is as powerful as it is.

Did you play H4? or H5? And keep in mind how small Infinite’s weapon selection is when thinking about the number of 1 shot weapons.

But you can sprint with the sword, making it dirt easy to rush people with and the hammer has the most range out of any hammer in the franchise. so 343 made the 1 shots that already existed even more powerful than prior incarnations ( like H3 )

Cringe alert, stop defending Halo 4. H2A is hot garbage as a Halo experience with horrible weapon balancing and it STILL has loadouts.

Ummm there are sooooooo many one shot guns in halo infinite its crazy so pretty sure they dont intend to avoid this at all. Nearly 1/3 of the guns in the game are one hit kills, and several do compounding damage over time sooo.

Dude, I mentioned that they simply used Halo 4’s ENGINE for the Halo 2 Anniversary Multiplayer.

I am in no way defending the garbage pile that is Call of Halo 4 : Sportan Warfare.

I am merely admiring the fact that Certain Affinity can take garbage and tweak it into something a hundred times better.

Um… what game modes are you playing? I don’t remember loadouts being in Halo 2 Anniversary

Think he means the slayer modes there you can pick smg, plasma rifle or magnum

But this does not make H2A MP garbage in general.

its a custom game mode. never saw it in matchmaking

Because thats just a lore weapon description. What do you expect the description to be about? Literally the only thing that is lore baded is their description of the weapon. They woudnt replace that with tips and tricks descriptions.

Exactly why im talking about Infinite? When im talking about onr shot capable weapons, im talking about skill ceiling weapons, thats why the pool is small? They took out a lot of uniwue weapons that could break their weapon balance in past Halo games. Not something i agree on though.

But the sword is evened out by other weapon’s damage output. You cant just run around and not expecting to die in 3 seconds like the past. Its now a weapon you use in close quarters. The grav hammer is a same diff scenario. They gave more range to be different from the energy sword, but gave it a charge up swing that the sword doesnt have. Both still cant judt go running around with. So still, balancing out.

The sword is only something you can feel powrr in fiesta, because I dont see it being powerful as it used to be in thr past.
