Personally, I’m looking forward to it in Halo 4. It’s finally what it was supposed to be, a Marksman’s Rifle. Not the “Walk straight at someone and shoot them point-blank with it” Rifle that it was in Reach. I’m sure that other Marksmen will appreciate these this as well.
Changes
Slower RoF (Rate of Fire)
14 rounds in magazine
42 rounds on start (28 plus 14 in clip)
Bloom resets faster
Rounds appear to do more damage
It looks like it has a higher magnification level on the scope, but I can’t tell
To watch some of the MLG players use the DMR it’s like they are using it at close range just fine as well. I’ve had a love for the BR since H2, but it looks like the DMR might actually put it to shame in H4.

I’ve noticed that as well, at first I was gung ho about using the BR again… However, after seeing that gameplay I’m very unsure which gun I’ll lean towards at this point

BR for close-up encounters and smaller gametypes, DMR for longer range and larger gametypes like BTB.
