M.

While looking at the Thornes journal I noticed something

A note from Hoya to Thorne

It is mysteriously addressed from a person known as M. Who could this mysterious individual be? Could it just be Margaret Parangosky? Could it be the interviewer from the prologue? The questions

i must admit i dont have it to hand and i havenot read it since loading H4 up (the long load that can take a while)

But i dont think that was addressed to Thorne, if i remember correctly i thought it was from Parangosky to Halsey…

Take a pic of the whole thing so we can see it all in context as well, i think that would help…

It might help if you took a photo that showed the entire damn thing.

Yeah, I went back and read it and it sounds like it’s from Parangosky to Halsey

but anyway here’s the first half http://i.imgur.com/XSzPmgJ.jpg
and here’s the second half http://i.imgur.com/sUdfOpb.jpg

yep

Definetly looks like Margaret Parangosky to Halsey.

I find it kind of strange, knowing her character in Kilo-5.

What I’m assuming is that this kind of Parangosky’s last words. A death wish, recognizing past sins.
She didn’ t act hateful to Halsey, recognized her accomplishments.

But the interesting thing is the last sentence.
“Take care of [Redacted]. Protect its crew. Protect Earth.”

Redacted likely means Infinity. This is exceptionally strange that Parangosky would professionally ask Halsey to do anything she can to save Earth and make sure Infinity still stands. Personally keep Infinity in the fight.
Parangosky knows Halsey has a future and is one of the best ones to trust with the survival of Humanity.

Perhaps we will learn more in the next Kilo-Five book? Although it’s kind of strange that they could go out on a good note, yet Osman said she should have followed her advice to just kill Halsey and be done with her. Of course she could have been referring to advice she was given before hand and the letter was written post Osman choosing to spare her life.

I’d find it strange for Kilo-5 to cover Parangosky being nice to Halsey :).

But yeah, if this is true it would have to be after she advised Osman to keep Halsey down. Realizing and trying to correct your sins right before you die.

Very happy you brought up Osman do we know if Halsey ever received this letter? What if this is another reason Osman wants Halsey killed? So she never learns of this letter and threaten Osman’s position of head of ONI.

That last line Take care of redacted Infinity. Protect its crew. Protect Earth. Parangosky is putting great faith in Halsey. If Osman saw this she must not be very happy at all.

Wow… that’d definetly be a twist. A conspiracy. We really don’t know if Halsey got it, especially if it was floating around on the network.

Adds to the theories of ONI being power hungry and such…, and really could explain such a push on Halsey’s kill order.

This, we may be able to see in Kilo-5. If Osman does have a side like this to her.

I think she does if my memory serves me back in Glasslands when she goes to give the weapons to Telcam. The group discover that human civilian and Osman says to herself she should have shot him to keep the weapon exchange secret.

I’d love to see a more devious side to Osman, she obviously hates Halsey and just wants her to suffer, the thing is Hoya and Thorne had access to this information

> Thorne -
> Still looking for more, but I found this in the network. If she did put the engines in this thing, then this has to be a letter to her, yeah?
> Hoya

How could the story be affected by people having this information?

The question is why is Thorne so interested in Halsey and her work with the Spartan 2’s?

Curiosity.

Osman chose not to kill Halsey or send her in the deepest, darkest hole as Parangosky had suggested.
It’s only after what happened that Osman ordered her to be killed.

So don’t think all Osman wants is for her to suffer always.
