Luck based pvp, not skill, patch the radar

Do not make nonconstructive posts.

A long time halo veteran of old reduced to ashes by repetitive spawn kills and a lack of intelligence due to literally 5 foot radar range in matchmaking has simply ruined the game for me.
I know how to play Halo. Quite well actually. I was playing Halo in the womb. 343 has simply taken a fat dump all over the pvp in this game. For one simple reason. Radar range designed by a true person. Give that person a raise 343. You simply caught my attention with the way this game looked and literally stole my money out of my pocket.
I won’t be turning the game on again until the absolute trash radar range is PATCHED.
I don’t need to get good. 343 does.
My kd not good? Not my fault. It’s 343s fault.
If I had proper Intel of the battlefield, I wouldn’t have such a scrub kd at the moment. I’m a 2.0 kd Aug kind of player. I can slay with the best of them. Not in this game. Nope. Hey look. Dead.
Patch sometime within the next few days, this is horrendous.
I hate you

agree with the multiplayer being a bit unfair. However I think it is more to do with spawns. The radar is 15 meters.

When I get creamed by top players, it’s because they have amazing situational awareness - always moving, always protecting their flank. . . these players don’t use radar as a crutch.

When I play a really good match (in ANY of the Halos) it is because I am making smart tactical decisions, making smart use of the map, not because I properly used the radar.

When I have proper intel of the battlefield, it is because I am coordinating really well with my teammates - call-outs, running in pairs and hunting power positions. I see good players bouncing around when they move - jumping, moving, scanning constantly. THEY ARE VIEWING WITH THEIR OWN EYES, everything from short range (around corners) to mid/long range (across map), which allows them to then approach and engage the opponent in an advantageous manner.

When I tear up a multiplayer game on H5 arena, it was because me and my teammates played well. When I stink (which does happen), it’s NOT because the radar sucks - the mechanic is the same for everyone, but it disproportionately affects players who, for lack of better words, play bad.

Stop using a shorter radar range as an excuse for ineptitude. The second I stopped externalizing blame, I became a better Halo player.

I agree whole heartedly with you. Granted I am still not the best player out there, but when I first started playing the Halo 5 Warzone I relied heavily on the radar instead of taking the time to learn the maps and common travel grounds that players take to move between objectives. Once I took away my reliance on said radar, my scores, and skill drastically improved because I knew what I was looking for and what areas to keep closer attention to. Poor gameplay is not because of a 15 meter radar, it is the player relying on the radar that is at fault.

Sorry to say. But I don’t use the radar exclusively. It’s not a crutch for me. It’s a tool. I have great awareness of my surroundings.
That being said I cannot prevent instant spawning and being shot due to Crap spawn systems. Also, radar not being a crutch checking the flank via radar after checking with MY OWN TWO EYES just to be sure is now a nullified system. Due to lack of radar range. A guy can be 15 feet behind you and you wouldn’t know it. Due to lack of radar range (even if you just looked there to check your flank)
I Garunteed if they fixed the radar range, my skills would be just like they always have been in a halo game (above average)
Radar has always been in Halo. If they didn’t want you to have a radar, why include it? Never rely on your radar. I don’t. But the fact that it’s there, and is meaningless and useless to the definition is a slap in the face and poor execution of design.
You don’t have to see eye to eye. You can jump to the conclusion that I need to adapt or get good at the game. Go ahead. That doesn’t change the fact that the poor design quality of the radar itself is a serious problem. Guess what, if I wanted to play without radar, I’d go play breakout or swat. But instead I play good old slayer or rumble. What I grew up on. What I excel at doing. Don’t blame me for 343s poor choice of settings. I know what I’m doing. I’ve been playing Halo for my entire life since it’s launch. Laughable argument saying I’M the one who sucks, when it’s the game.

Says the guy with an overall negative kd. You never became that better player I see. Your entire argument is an attempt at an educated scholarly way of words. Just didn’t work for you there. Come talk to me when you are actually good at halo and understand what I’m even talking about. Ineptitude? Look in the mirror son.

Stop complaining about radar. It’s perfect the way it is. If you rely on radar that much, it’s your fault, no one else’s. I wish they would just remove the radar all together in the arena playlist, and just keep it in Warzone.
Hope you enjoy not playing, because I don’t think radar will be changed.

 1. If the radar is an issue because of spawn camping, then complain about finding a way to fix the spawn, for frack’s sake.

 2. Yikes, get off your high horse, Arcanii can have an opinion that is valid without being a Halo pro. Just because his or her K/D is still currently negative doesn’t mean that they didn’t improve after changing their game. Additionally, using K/D as the sole metric for ability is stupid. Not everyone plays straight up slayer. What about game variants like Strongholds, CTF, or even Warzone? Those are objective-based games that primarily (or exclusively) earn scoring independent of K/D. Sure, if your team whoops on K/D you’ll have a big advantage, but I’ve played tens/hundreds of CTF matches where the winning team had a really negative team K/D compared to the losing team, simply because (shocker) playing for the objective is not mutually exclusive with K/D.

 3. On a more general note, I despise the general attitude that you and others in society have today. If there’s a problem that exists, the first and only recourse is to act like a child and to blame others. God forbid self improvement is a viable option to consider.

 4. If a guy is behind you and outside radar range, and then kills you, then (surprise!!!): you got outplayed. Either they are camping, so you NEVER saw them on your radar (and while I’m not an all-star at this game, attacking and killing campers is easy as heck), or they are running up quick from behind you, meaning you and/or your team isn’t appropriately covering your 6, OR you are the ones camping because consistent movement (with occasionally doubling back to cover your 6) is too hard a concept to learn.

 5. I hope you don’t turn this game on again until you check your attitude. Halo is perfectly fine without the hot-headed trolls that scream and pervade Battlefield, COD, and Titanfall.
