LSS is bad... and heres why

A good point- but up until now it’s just been the nature of the challenge design that slowed progression, not the actual game type itself. LSS is supposedly a social game type but it’s sweatier then anything in the ranked playlist.

This.
If you spawn in the small bunker on the edge of the map, you’re basically f’d. There’s no pickups inside the building, no drops will spawn anywhere near it and the only grenades are out in the open.
The opposite side of the map has at least half a dozen drop locations, plenty of cover and countless grenade pads, most of them inside buildings.
That is why most fighting happens on that side of the map, meaning there are no safe spots to spawn the player over there, so they spawn you on the other side of the map inside said bunker instead… and the snowballing continues.
The map is garbage, at least for this gametype. I am craving for different maps in LSS and seriously hoping the map will have a better flow in BTB, when there’s stuff actually spawning in that bunker, be it weapons, vehicles, whatever…

Not sure how fending for yourself, with no teammates as backup, can be considered a relaxing social way of playing.

True, but if it’s that competitive maybe it should be in a ranked FFA playlist.

I really like LSS, but it became boring too fast with only one map and the same weapons.
The ugly thing here we don’t have enough weapons in the game(thank you 343 for no new weapons in S2) to replace current weapon set for LSS.

I kind of wish they were marked so players are drawn toward them. Would make matches faster imo and more dynamic.

Also i wish we had speed boost and damage boost. Might make this a little more fair/interesting since camo and OS are pretty hard to fight against.

i feel like the spawn system is deliberately spawning people near each other to keep the action going. Its probably why we respawn with no grenadess to limit third partying. spawn systems job should be to spawn people away from action and it sseems to do the opposite.

1: at least the map isn’t bad… though some more would be fantastic
2: havn’t really had an issue with overshields given that most seem to activate them apon grab
3: they… actually yeah, they do seem to spawn only on one side of the map and not the other
4: sprees gain 200. so maybe just better players or somethin’. or less assists compared to kills. for me the xp given seems fine
5: it’s a 50/50. you can leave the match after your lives are lost, heck there even is a pop up stating as so. though in my experience, it’s a coin toss weather the actual progress is gained or not. but even then, if you do gain an item from said challenge (like for the event) and quit… you wont get the item until you see your next level up. that an also quiting doesn’t count towards the daily challenge which is dumb

I have to agree. It just isn’t the best mode. It has potential, but the steamroll is WAY TOO HIGH. BR + Bulldog, Overshield, grenades and equipment? What are you supposed to do about that? With a commando???

Kills need to be more valuable. Sucks having 15 kills and losing in showdown against a guy camping with 7 kills after killing me.

There should ultimately be a reward for reaching certain milestones of kills. Free life after 5 or 10 kills? I don’t know, but completely unfair match I had.

Exp towards level sucks too.

I agree with a lot of this. I’d prefer to see drops with the camo/OS be normal equipment instead tbh. Maybe award an OS if you get a killing spree or at a certain time interval in the match for players to battle over.

The weapon loadout/progression really needs work. I’ve been doing my headshot challenges by using the Disruptor/Sidekick through entire games and it really owns compared to most of the weapon combinations.

If I ever actually tried going for challenges my brain would melt trying to deal with the campers.

One compromise might be sectioning off areas of btb maps.

alternatively, get a calldown instead of an xp orb.

LSS feels like a mode designed by someone at 343 who thought “oops, I guess we do need a battle royale after all, what can I make to cover us until certain affinity has its BR ready to launch?”
