Lower Those Prices

I see you Leadbelcher set. 17 bucks? For armor for a noncanon fracture core? What a laugh, what a joke. Store items in your current system are already the epidemy of FOMO let alone fracture event items which only makes the issue worse.

I for one am not paying a cent for anything here. Not playing the game for a while now too.

Time and time again the fanbase metaphorically slams what we want and how we want in in 343s face and time and time again they just wont listen. Why are you trying to kill the game at this point? Whos job is it to aggressively monetise the game and why are they such a soulless corporate stooge? Oh but they dont care, they dont even play video games.

Vote with your wallets lads.
And by that I mean dont budge and dont give them a cent. Make it hurt.

Quote from Ske7ch on twitter addressing the price hike-
“AFAIK this week is higher due to quantity and rarity of items in the bundle. Not a universal price hike. Seems like this doesn’t meet expectations for many and is part of the team’s experimenting and learning. Note that much of the shop feedback will take more time to implement.”

The items in the shop this week are rare guys. They are no trying to use FOMO tho, for real.
Increasing the prices are easy, but lowering them is gonna take time.

Everyone making purchases in the shop was asking for this whether they realized it or not.
Ske7ch is basically saying they are seeing what they can get away with.
The legacy armor should be free. The new armor should be in a catalog for $1 each piece.

Voting with our wallets won’t help anything, mainly because majority of the player base doesn’t even know or care what a forum is.

I’ve been so heated about this stuff I thought this was a defense and was about to be like bruh. Glad a read the rest lol.

Honestly the whole aspect of “Rarity” is a bleeding joke. NOTHING in this game should have a rarity. Nothing is RNG.
It’s honestly a pretty crappy marketing tactic and you couldn’t be more right about…

Saw the tweet myself and was dumbfounded by it. The hiking store prices are honestly NUTS to me. I’ve been saving up for the wolf shoulders with my gamepass points
Because… Ahem… ASASSINED WOLF. but I never shell out real money.

At this point with Flight simulator getting a pelican, Fall guys getting halo armor, the rising store prices. It Feels like we’re being laughed at.

Taunted for wanting fair prices.

Players are leaving daily, the player numbers are dropping on steam and Xbox and only returning long enough to beat a fracture on 2XP and dip. And I’m one of them now.

IDC that it was just 100 creds. I don’t care its rarity. I’m happy technical issues are slowly being addressed. ITS THE BIGGEST PRIORITY

BUT, you don’t have to gas price scalp your players along the way to do it.

yes, we’re voting with our wallets, but the problem is that there are whales plaguing around the item shop, its insane…and i cant believe there are some of those that defend these kinds of pricy stuff, and “rarity” in this situation doesn’t really help or defend their “point”.

what’s the point of putting that on items if there isn’t any lootboxes in the first place? this stuff is just rotated daily and i don’t see any signs of “rarity”, just price gouging and alot of lies.

My bad haha.

I feel your frustration. I haven’t been able to play this since launch do to sheer disgust with how this game is being handled. They aren’t trying to meet us in the middle at all.

It doesn’t even feel like a game to me, more like a “product”
Carefully manufactured instead of passionately created.

I check back in at the forums periodically to see if things have gotten better, and it only seems to have gotten worse. I read somewhere that they realize the majority of people want collision back, but they still aren’t going to do it? The same with friendly fire apparently? It’s ridiculous.

I have been playing a lot of MCC co-op with my Halo buddy which has been fun. They still managed to mess up some of the Reach armor though

Anyone that thinks any of the prices are reasonable are being fleeced.

infact, why even sell these non-canon stuff in a high price for no reason?
like- i think its just dumb imo.

whats even MORE dumb is that some items wont even return or appear, infact- i dont think i’ve seen certain armors that that appeared in the item shop or during an event.

which leads me to the question: why are they doing this?

Voting with our wallets is pretty much only good for our own dignity at this point.
Like you said, we are being undermined by whales.

They can’t do loot boxes so they are doing the next best thing with FOMO. They must think we are mindless consumption zombies trying to push “rarity” past us. Unfortunately some of us are.,

Correct me if I’m wrong but that sounds like FOMO to me, which they promised NOT to do I believe.
I can’t say for sure though. I’ve reinstalled the game 2 or 3 times since launch just to see what the shop looked like so I don’t really know much about events or the rotation

What bums me out is I love doing fashion in games, hell I wanted to find out where one of the coatings for eaglestrike is because then I could complete the look of the Rocketeer with this core but I just can’t support how bad its going anymore. I am REALLY bummed out with Infinite’s potential being flushed away from executive greed.

I feel you on the fashion stuff. Reach is my favorite for that reason, how immersed I felt playing the campaign as my Spartan. I liked it so much I made a figure of it.
I just don’t like paying for armor, especially at the prices they set and for armor that was free in better games.
It was also stupid not to let us change our campaign armor in Infinite, which would have added more value to people that pay for the armor.

I dont understand why people buy armor anyways, it has no impact on the gameplay.
In RPG games I can understand why you buy items for better equipments.
In Halo the armor does nothing for the gameplay, its just looks.
In Halo 1-3 people didnt care about this stuff.

So why didn’t the Government step in like they did with Star Wars Battlefront?

Fashion in live service games is end game. I couldn’t agree more.

Unfortunately Halo has nothing to speak for in terms of “working” for it.

A good system would’ve been to reverse the armor and equipment reqs if they wanted us to buy armor and instead work to unlock weapons and vehicles with varying array of models throughout levels along side of basic armor.

All this flashy radio glow sticks dragons and antlers can stay whatever. But without a way to EARN what we want from the store, 343 is telling us to go screw ourselves untill we drop money

“I admit ‘rarity’ is the wrong word and while it’s an internal designation, my referring to it publicly understandably has driven confusion and feedback. There is still some subjectivity involved, but not all content items have the same cost of production”

-Ske7ch

Question how can you say rarity is an internal designation when armor LITERALLY has listings of rarity in game. WITH BACKGROUND COLORS.

Nothing sketchy about what Ske7ch says. Everything is on the up and up haha
343i is a disgrace.

It’s only rare when the quantity is low. Because these are digital items 343 can make as many as they want, so any excuse for “rarity” is a load of bull. I don’t know if 343 is just completely ignorant to their audience demands or horribly malevolent or some twisted combination of both. This is disgusting and has to stop.

Armor sets should be no more than 1000 CR. Not 1700, not 1200, ONLY 1000 Credits. And just about everything else outside of full armor sets should be 100 Credits MAX. This is just unacceptable.

You can pretend it’s rare if everyone can buy it that’s stupid if it was random that would be a valid way to call it rare this is dumb and gross, I wouldn’t pay more than 7 for a full set and 5 would be reasonable they would get more money if the prices were significantly lower not higher dumbest marketing I have ever seen
