Lower the time cap on quit bans

Seriously, quitting isn’t that serious an offense, especially in social playlists that are join in progress anyway. A quit ban shouldn’t be longer than 15 minutes, especially when the only reason you were banned was because the game kicked you out right at the end. An hour long quit ban is ridiculous, I’ve even heard that some people have had day long quit bans, even though normally it’s because they lagged out of the game.

Nope they should be longer. People still quit games all the time so clearly it’s not a deterrent.

the bans get worse the more u do it

Progressive discipline is a good thing.

I’ve had a 24 hour ban. Now I don’t quit nearly as often. However, getting bans from a social playlist is a bit ridiculous. If it’s unranked (Warzone included) then quitting isn’t a major issue because a loss means nothing. Give an instant loss and add some deaths onto someone’s KD/KDA in a ranked* playlist for quitting, idling, etc. and still have bans in place but leave social alone. Just my 2 cents.

If people still quit then obviously the current punishment isn’t good enough. Add an instant loss and a bunch of extra deaths to the quitter’s service record and keep the bans for ranked playlists only and maybe we’ll see less quitters.

Quitting should count as a loss.

Totally agree. And the reason it’s not a deterrent is because people are creating second accounts and coming straight back on after they get banned. They really need to crack down on this too.

So a console ban as opposed to an account ban? That’s interesting. It would also help if bans were universal, IE if you get banned in arena you can’t play warzone and vice-versa

I say make the bans worse. Quitters hurt the game.

Yes, there are some like this…however, notice how only the arena games are being banned? Another possible option is to split the game setup into Arena, Social, and Warzone. This would allow for settings specific to each game mode-social would have relaxed settings, arena strict, and so on.
