’Lower The Guns’ was a following who aimed towards the ability of weapon lowering over Xbox Live back in Halo 3, but with Reach coming out, the group divided and came to a close. However, there are still many Machinima Directors who are anxious to find out whether or not we’ll have the ability to do so in the full retail game of Halo Reach.
"Would the controls for doing so be any different than what we were able to do in Halo 3? I hope they haven’t made it even more complex of a system to do so for Reach."
At this point in time, it’s safe to say it’ll most like be different given the change in control setup in Reach than compared to that of Halo 3. Let’s just hope for the best?
"What use is the Cease Fire command to you then?"
For the production of Machinima in the ever-expansive community of film-developers.
I’ll take an example;
Lets say that character ‘M’ and character ‘N’ are walking along a corridor as M explains something.
N is not gonna like being talked to by a friend with a M6G pointing at his face.
This briefly explains what happens when you can’t use the command. Sure in Halo 3 you could always have a LAN party or a System Link, or even play Split-screen over Local, but the only help you’re most likely gonna get are of those around you.
Xbox Live consists of one of the largest communities on Earth as well as one of large variety.
Online, there are people who you can get along with and make friends with and more often available than you would with people offline.
There are several videos on Youtube that explain why Lowering the Guns over Xbox Live is higher in demand as time passes onwards, and in much further detail if you wish to seek them out.
If there are further updates concerning this matter, I will make it top priority to report back to this thread right away.

Its too bad this wasn’t made a big deal of at the beginning. Maybe it would have had more of an impact.
