There is absolutely no reason that the weak tin can known as the Halo 5 Mantis should be level 7. Ghosts are better than it
I agree that the Mantis req level should be lowered but lvl 5 may be to much.
But it can crouch walk, CROUCH WALK!!!
They just upped the rate at which you gain REQ levels, not lowering the Mantis REQ requirement may not be the best idea.

I literally hate choosing a Mantis and wasting my req. I only do it in hopes of getting a couple measly kills to further my commendation

Seriously, the Halo 4 one was easy enough to destroy but at least it could do some damage. By the the time you get a level 7 req everyone else already had simple upgraded weapons that will destroy it

Unless you want the whole match populated by giant missile launching, chaingun spewing death robots this might be a bad idea.
No, I think that the mantis is good where it is. The normal mantis only has the same amount of health as a normal warthog, but it’s really powerful nonetheless. The pilot even has a chaingun and rockets to put to use. Even trying to board it is pretty difficult

Even on the upgraded Mantis the Rockets and chain gun are a joke. You’ll be lucky to get 2 kills with it after walking all the way across the map during the last minute of the match only because it’s level 7.

A Ghost Ultra is a much better choice and that’s level 4. An SMG that can tear a Mantis up is level 4… I fail to see your point

Well, the problem with the Mantis (IMO) is that it is not worth my req points during a match to bring out. When I’m at req lvl 7/8, I have multiple other vehicles and weapons that are far more effective and longer lasting than the Mantis. When a level 6 scorpion or a level 5 wraith can easily destroy a level 7/8 Mantis, then the Mantis should either be more durable or placed in the proper weight class.
