Low quality videos?

Why are videos on waypoint low quality?

You can blame Silverlight for that one

Silverlight is an awful piece of tech, even if you have a great connection, it will automatically choose the quality based on your connection with no option to change it.

In short, if you want good quality videos, beg for 343 to switch to another piece of tech like Flash

The quality of videos is dependent upon your internet connection.

I can stream 1080P Youtube videos without interruption. I’m thinkin’ Silverlight miscalculates something here.

Youtube uses Flash which pre downloads the video, and has video size settings, I can watch 1080P videos on other sites without issues, but Waypoint, it’s not the best.

I really wish Waypoint would change their video software, I love watching waypoint’s videos, but often I have to wait until they post them on Youtube, and then they’re not 1080P, it’s a major downer for me.

Not only this, but on Waypoint all the videos are shaped like elongated rectangles to me lol. It’s unwatchable.

Using SWIron (alternate version of Chrome)

HarHar.
If this is a new standard, I’ll quit watching videos.

That actually looks more like a bug.
