I m getting really upset playing mythic. Why why why why are soooo many noobs in this playlist? It s impossible to win if u have like 5 guys lvl 20 and no idea how to use the -Yoink- controller.
Pisses me off
For me, I have had major issues with quitters recently in all game types.
My brother played a match of Paintball in action sack, and the rest of teammates didn’t move for the whole game. At least it was short.

put your search preferences to focused. It should match similar skilled players with you

This, or go in with a team. You’re not obligated to go with randoms.

Add me, I play a lot and also I’m looking for ppl that ‘have’ and “USE” their REQ’s
I would surmise that Mythic firefight tends to attract noobs because it offers the greatest amount of req points. If you win (though who actually wins that game?) you get a nice 5000 req points for your troubles. Otherwise you get something like 3500 or 4000 points if you make it to round 5. It’s a decent way to req up.
I feel like we just had this discussion in a different thread. For Mythic, I wouldn’t play that unless I had a team for exactly those reasons you described. I play Heroic solo and get new or noob teammates, but the chances of losing is a lot less compared to Mythic.
Also the search preferences is more for finding other players who have a stable game connection, not skill level. To avoid being in games where teammates/opponents are lagging and disconnecting.
I feel your pain. I’m lvl 40 and only can succeed round 5 if I bring in my fireteam.

Honestly, if you were new to Halo and were a low level, how would you feel if someone sent you a rage message of how bad you were? You wouldn’t be happy. If you are looking to WIN, then grab some friends and head in. Stop going into lobbies yourself with other people. I’m not new to Halo, but I’m just being truthful in the fact that it’s not the player’s fault. It’s you because you choose to go into random lobbies, only to not learn to get or make friends to help you out. Play smarter, not harder.
Well you’re matched with randoms and you’ll get random results.
If you don’t want to play with low-leveled players, find or create a fireteam for your cause.
To everyone saying “join a team if you don’t like randoms”: Yes that is good advice. But I’d also like to point out that the req system, itself, is partially to blame for this situation. This is because new players just don’t have as many reqs, no matter what their skill level might be.
It takes a lot of time to build up a large, diverse req collection, which is absolutely necessary in order to perform well in Mythic Firefight. So yes, expect random results with random players. But keep in mind 343 set up this game mode in such a way that makes it literally impossible for new players to contribute enough to win.

I would say this is another reason to put some of the blame on 343 for this situation. Not only did they make this game mode impossible for newer players to perform well in, regardless of their skills, but they incentivized them to play it and not care about actually winning it. It’s easy to blame the OP for not partying up, but considering how 343 set things up, it’s not surprising that newer players are making it significantly harder to win Mythic Firefight. And that is no fault of their own.
Here are two things that could help:
-
343 should emphasize more in the description that it’s a hard playlist. Beginners beware.
-
I think losing would be less of an issue if our win/loss percent record wasn’t plastered in giant font on the WZ stats.

I fully agree with both of these
Yes, unfortunately I won’t go into mythic anymore without a couple of mates.

Yep. And it was far more constructively written than the OP here.
