I keep getting this error every time I play multiplayer. The first match the error came up almost immediately, and then the next time it happened right at the end of the match.
The exact error is:
LowLevelFatalError [File:Unkown] [Line:200]
Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost.
(Error: 0x887A0006- ‘HUNG’)
Does anyone know a fix for this, or know what might be causing it? I am also playing in the Microsoft Store version if that matters.
I’m having the same issue on Steam. I’ve got a GTX 980 Nvidia card and it happens randomly during gameplay. Screen goes grey then black, then the lights on my GPU go on and off again really quick and I get the same error. Any help would be appreciated!
Similar problem with mine, but I cant even start a game of any kind.
LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknow] [Line: 133]
FWindowsReadRequest ReadFile Failed! Error code = 3e6
Any ideas will help!!
I had to underclock my GPU as it put less stress on it as it is old. Still runs on highest settings at 60 or higher but hasn’t frozen and crashed since. I would suggest MSI afterburner.
Any resolution to this error? I have tried everything. The game worked perfectly a few days before the crashes happened consistently.
Edit: I’ve tried everything including reinstalling graphics drivers, verifying game files, changing in game settings, and more. It is extremely frustrating because I’ve played 2 hours of the game and spent over 6 hours trying to fix this low level fatal error. I can’t even refund my game on steam anymore because i am past that point.
@Sparkjamin1229 Could you please elaborate on how underclocking your gpu would help in any fashion? Also, I am getting the fatal error when my gpu is only at 45C, so it’s not a temperature issue.
