Low Budget Wardens

You know what I’m talking about. Those Mantis bosses. They’re like wardens. With shields. And they’re extra annoying. I think that there should be way more Warden bosses in general and less of these silly Mantises. Killing Wardens helps you finish commendations. Killing Mantises does too I guess, but you can do that in regular Warzone. While I would like to finish both of these commendations, and I am not recommending downright removing the Mantis bosses, I would like there to be a few more Wardens, and for them to have more of a presence on the battlefield. Wardens should spawn in central areas which are easily accessible by all. They used to be the center of attention. I don’t even notice them anymore. They’re always hidden away in some really sketchy corner of the map with a horde of Knights just waiting to obliterate you on sight. The Warden Eternal was (lets face it) a pretty major character in the Halo 5 campaign, and was pretty prominent in the older Warzone games as well. We need Warden back!

I’m all for more Warden Eternal, as long as he’s not camping at the back of the bases where the pelicans drop you off…

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I hate that round of Firefight SO much… The Mythic Warden is legitimately IMPOSSIBLE to kill. I was referencing the wardens in normal Warzone more than the Firefight ones though… The Mantises can really mess you up on Battle of Noctus. I would like more normal Warden bosses in normal Warzone. There use to be a great one on Battle of Noctus. It was my favorite boss in the game for a while. He was pretty powerful, but in an are where many people could safely put lots of shots into him. The new Goblin Boss on Battle of Noctus is really stupid. Not only is it completely inaccessible to vehicles and people across the map, it has two Phantom friends who completely destroy anyone who wants to stay away from the boss and use a Sniper Rifle, AND it makes it nearly impossible to capture the central base. The Warden on Skirmish at Darkstar is placed in an area which not many people ever traverse. There is a happy medium between obnoxiously placed bosses (Noctus Goblin and Mantises) and bosses that are too out of the way (Darkstar Warden, Jul 'Mdama).

I like how the Warden seems to legitimately know if you’re engaging him or not, whereas the Mantis boss on Darkstar singles you out from across the map while you’re trying to sneak into an armory while conveniently ignoring the five+ people shooting him RIGHT BY HIS FEET…

It’s the worst when you are trying to circle the map in a Warthog or Mongoose or if you are trying to get to the other base. There is one on each side and you just have to run through and hope you don’t get obliterated by them. A vehicle strafe can easily dodge the missiles, but the chaingun can rip you apart. Warden is more of a CQB boss. His ranged attacks are really easy to doge. He is sort of a bullet sponge, but the best kind of bullet sponge. The Grunt Goblin, while hysterical, only uses ranged attacks pretty much and this is really annoying. I prefer fighting a Warden to a Goblin.

What I hate is on ARC… Unless you run to the Base to spawn a banshee, it’ll spawn it RIGHT ABOVE THE GOBLIN who’ll immediately start launching his “kill you in three hits with uber-homing” needles at you, instantly wasting the banshee. If it’s an ultra, you’ll have to dodge that fourth needle also or lose a banshee that IMO should be legendary rarity due to how rare they are.
The Goblins and Mantises love shooting you from across the map when you’re not even shooting at them

I also hate the Legendary bosses that can be downed in one hit. Namely the Armsman on Darkstar (SIX times in a row he’s been killed within five seconds of spawning) and the Sangheli general on Stormbreak. Just need an Energy Sword / Hammer on the former, a Scout Warthog or Ghost on the latter, then a quick-n-easy 100 points upon spawnkilling them. Definitely legendary material right there, very fitting of that status given how easily they’re killed upon spawning.

Those bosses should either lose their 100pt legendary status, or make it so they can’t be splattered or otherwise one-shot.

Hell, you don’t even need anything for the Soldier Armsman. Just stand right behind its spawn and assassinate/beatdown the stupid thing.
