loving the halo 4 music so far?

Here’s some videos with some of the music:

As I’m aware these are proper themes except maybe the 3rd which I’m not 100% sure if that’s a remix of one of the previous themes.

Anyway if that last one is a leaked one feel free to remove the 3rd but anyway what does everyone think? Currently loving them myself, been putting them on loop.

im sad to say but no im not liking any of the music so far.

What about that one?

Also, i have enjoyed them all so far.

It all sounds very generic, like it’s been inspired, almost lifted from other media, which is worrying.

Pointing in the opposite direction, it lacks a lot of Halo’s character, whether it’s in the pure notes used (where’s dat theme? Dem monks?), or the actual sounds of the instruments (I commented on a Youtube video a minute ago that what people are taking to be the main theme sounds very generic; dull chord progression, metallic and militaristic percussion - where’s the chanting? Where’s that tribal-esque percussion?), or just something lacking from the final mix.

Well i do but you know, liking anything that isn’t from Marty gets you sacked from these parts of the woods.

Could have sworn posted one similar to this.lol

Loved them all, just been listening to the ‘Prelude Trailer’ theme, just found it really great to listen to.

I can still hear Halo in it so yeah

I think the music sounds amazing so far!

The piano played at the beginning of The Magic Behind Halo 4 - Behind the Scenes is simply outstanding!

I’m really looking forward to hearing what the briliant mind of Neil Davidge has come up with for Halo 4!

The game, the music, the imagery, the multiplayer, Spartan Ops, the campaign, its all going to be amazing!

I really can’t wait but hoping theres some music for spartan ops since thats a very big file size.lol

All we have to go by are a couple of samples. IMO it doesn’t really sound inspired by anything to me. 343 wanted to go into a new direction with the music. Neil is delivering. If he just re did Marty’s work I would be dissapointed, even if it just sounded remotely like the old stuff. Its supposed to be new. Look at ODST and Reach Completely different from the original trilogy yet still great and it worked well with Halo. Heck when they made Halo 3 Marty wanted a theme with no chanting. He did it, Finish the fight it was called. It blew everyone away at that E3 and they instantly recognized it as Halo. Personally I’m waiting until they really reveal the new theme. Whenever a new video from 343 comes out alot of people assume the music in said video is the new theme. I’ve seen it in every video. Two or three updates ago BS Angel said they were recording the new theme so hopefully we’ll get a real trailer with the real theme soon enough. You wont be able to tell if it fits well until your actually playing and you get the whole experience.

I feels like Halo to me from what I have heard and it will do in my opinion. You are doing a great job, Neil.

I’m liking it (especially the Prelude trailer music and “Unveiled”)

I can’t wait to purchase the album.

I like the new music, but I hope to god that the ‘Halo Theme’ (Composed by Martin O’ Donnel) Returns in Halo 4, at least once. It is the Halo Theme, it is part of what makes Halo, Halo. It better be in the game.
